I agree. Going further back in time Roy Barry signed from Dunfirmline (if i remember rightly) was a top centre back until he broke his leg, never the same after that.

This is an obvious one Jim Holton. Did well at City and a legend and still missed.
Larry Lloyd was a flop pretty much at City and cost a lot of money.
