yet in another thread you talked about how everyone should give ex players stick....practice what you preach?don't think I have ever bood anything since I was a kid at all.
Not even a ref after a poor decision?

You do realise you can give players stick without booing them, right?
lol dont be pedantic
Ah okay, I didn't mean actually shouting "boo", I meant more given any kind of abuse.Nah that is usually a swear word under my breath!
i agree. so start booing!
*opposition though! i know alot of our fans(not you nick) like to boo our own players if they do something really bad like make a misplaced pass after 8 mins.
I never get that, never personally understand missing the game you've payed to watch for a drink or food.I don't get the booing thing I wouldn't waste my time or energy. Would rather waste my time queuing up for a pint

I've always thought the Ricoh has been an easy place for teams to come to.when I was a kid, all the kids hated the other teams. Sky Blue sam would be giving them the thumbs down and getting the crowd going.
Now there is too much friendliness going on, all the "welcome to the ricoh, thanks for coming, round of applause for their fans, we love you" type crap. I am not saying glass them all, just maybe not be so soft.

I have booed a ref before for sure. Not even a ref after a poor decision?
That was a joke by the way never bought any food or drink last season at the games and I don't intend to bother buying anything again this seasonI never get that, never personally understand missing the game you've payed to watch for a drink or food.

For fans and teams.
Imagin. As an away fan, on a dark cold Tuesday night walking through terraced streets lined by huge police horses and packing into a close ground where the west terrace boys are breathing over your every word.
Or
Pull off the M6 in your mini bus and sit in the corner, 6 blocks away from 'singers corner' and watch your enjoy your pie and pint at half time.
And the easier we make it for the fans the easier it is for the players to get a result.

This spills over from the Mowbray favouritism for me.
He wasn't the best player by any means, but he had something a lot of our players didn't have, which was the will to fight and battle for 90 minutes, and still give 100% even when he was out of form. I do echo some of the comments that we may have been nearer the playoffs had he still been playing at the end of the season.
I won't get hung up over it any more, but I was really disappointed when he left. You can't blame him at all though, he was playing second wind to players that shouldn't have been on the pitch at that time.
I still feel we need a signing or two to replace that grit and determination if we want to do well this season. Those attributes can really be the difference between being 1-0 down and winning 2-1.
Come off it. I would run through walls to play for City but it doesn't mean I should get a game. It's a professional sport.

The only Cov player I ever booed was Simon Haworth. I immediately regretted it because it wasn't his fault he was shit. Never booed anyone since then although I have muttered FFS under my breath many times.
Agree. Maybe not to the hooligan extremes but when we have the matchday announcers saying welcome to them, everybody give them a clap, thanks for coming so much it is a bit soft.
What happened to away Mascots too? I want to see Sky Blue Sam clotheslining their mascot.
The away fans are customers too, so nothing too far but just stop being so soft with them.
No booing here, who is Jim O'Brien ? Never boo but moan like f***, take Tuesday when Ryan Haynes had a perfectly good ball played out to him on the wing.
It fell to his right foot, so he tried to run round it and take it on his left and it ran out of play. Did I moan? not much screamed at him " aint you got a right foot" and 5 min later he stroked in the first with his right lol. Mind you my 1 year old grandson would have stopped it !!
He said it repeatedly. And then when he signed for Salop he said he had learnt an important lesson and would be moving his family to be with him.Wanted to move closer to home? Did he tell you that personally? Or was that info from Mr.Mowbray/CET? That's why he now plays further from home than he did with us?

No just a realistic one who has been around enough seasons to have seen them all.You sound like a fantastic fan.
We would have collectively sucked the ball into the net for him.I don't agree with booing, but what winds me up even more is the adulation given to some. I don't mind clapping an ex-player in the warm up and that, but christ some of the ridiculous OTT treatment given to some is pathetic. Still never forgot those that clapped Andy Morrell when he scored against us. Glad Baker didn't come on against us on Tuesday. Would have been unbearable.
That's why TM shipped him out. All he does is moan and moan and all the other players got sick of it.O'Brien did very little and was out of position on numerous occasions he has no brain and was moaning at his team mates a lot.
Yeah no cheering, clapping or booing either, bang average.O'Brien did very little and was out of position on numerous occasions he has no brain and was moaning at his team mates a lot.
