And besides, I am pretty sure he won't be on the bench at Scunthorpe. They have surely brought him in because they seem him as a first teamer, rather than a squad member.

O'Brien is hoping he won't take too long to settle in at United given the number of familiar faces in the dressing room — a list which includes fellow Sky Blues Jordan Clarke and Gary McSheffrey and Paddy Madden.

Paddy madden?

The fact he decided to move back to Barnsley in the summer showed his commitment.

He's been angling for a move for a while it seems.

Anyway...he isn't that important to the team. Good squad player but nothing more than that.

Yep, he wants a move back north, couldnt understand why his family moved back last Summer, but hey ho. Thanks for your efforts ( unless we recall him to scupper a decent run if Scunny contiue their decent form)

So he is happy to sit on the bench there?

A bit weird he would move back to Barnsley.

Tbf maybe Barnsley weren't interested, I forgot he had a young child. I actually now remember when the news from last season and JOB talking about it last season when he was first born.

Suddenly the moving back to Barnsley and wanting to be closer to home makes a bit more sense as circumstances change. I can see how it would be frustrating spending time away from your family an two nights in a hotel room with long drives only to then be left on the bench.

I guess being left on the bench isn't as big of an issue when you have made less of a sacrifice to be there
