There's an alternative timeline of that 2019/20 season where Jobello doesn't get injured, we continue to play 4-3-3 every week, and we probably don't get promoted. He wasn't even that bad, but three games at Championship level is three more than he probably ever expected to play.

I thought I read somewhere that he was in discussions with one of his previous clubs, or maybe it was inferred in one of his social media posts. In which case we may have just released him from his contract.
If we paid him off, I assume we could have done that at any time, the fact he has gone in the transfer window suggests he has something else lined up.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him sign elsewhere in the coming days. If so, you'd imagine that we've saved some money on paying him off (probably the difference between his new wages, and what we were paying him)

Yea I was going to say this , directly involved for all the wrong reasons , in an eventual formation shift that lead to us winning the league

I would bet if he is going to sign somewhere it will be to a French team

He came on at Norwich last season, and couldn't trap the ball, and ran another one out of play. Looked way out of his depth.

I actually think if he hadn't got injured he could have become a very useful player. Was improving before his injury.

Certainly feels that way. Get shot of hillsner and loan Shipley out and I think we’d have to.

Id imagine Hilßner and Dacosta are the two hardest to shift as both were signed when we were at this level so likely on a relative wedge compared to Shipley and Jobello.

He was fine in those few games in L1.

No world beater, but looked OK for the level. Nowhere near Championship level though.

We have a lot to thank him for though, it was his injury that lead to the box formation and the rest is history!

The plan was sound really. I liked the asymmetrical 433 with Jobello as a typical winger and Hiwula as an inside forward.

Jobello got crocked and Hiwula decided he was shite though.

The change just worked so well for us allowing our best players like Dabo and Walsh to do their jobs. The rest is history.

He never set League One alight before his ACL injury, he just looked Okay.

Godd luck to the lad but we have moved on.
