Anyone else see it? Second half , can't remember whether Bradford were 1 or 2 up at that point but they had a free kick and it needed a 2 man wall at which point Jones , who was part of the wall, decided to play with his hair band, take it out, rearrange his top knot thingy and put the band back in.
Is it me or is hair that important at a free kick ?

Better than kissing the ball before every set-piece he takes, embarrassing!

yeah saw it, what a total bellend he is, wouldn't mind if he had some ability, judging by the amount he has come on in the last year think L2 will be way above his standard.

he needs to man up and learn that his right leg is not just for standing on.

Let's stop the player bashing - he's a kid. If we want to aim criticism at him I get more annoyed at him dodging 50/50 tackles - but then again, so did I (now and again) when I played (Sunday league stuff!!). He's still young, growing and has time to be developed. If he doesn't cut it fair enough, but I'm not going to slate teenagers who play for us. Men - fair(ish) game, but not kids.

I'd cut it off if I saw him

When he signed, I didn't think he had much more than dribbling and pace.

Some saw more.

I guess we are seeing it now.

Of all the things about our situation you can possibly moan about right now, a player fixing his hair has to be fairly low on the list.

If you had his pace H you'd have played for the city but as I remember you had to beat the man three times before you crossed it :)

I don't mind any player fixing his hair as he is scoring.

Jones to say the least is a frustrating player has ability and can carry the ball at pace but has no final product. He was signed in a bit of a blaze of glory and because of this fans see him as what they thought would be a star turn but he's very much a work in progress player playing in a very poor team. In my opinion he needs some experienced better and wiser players around him.
As for doing his hair at that free-kick to me it looks a bloody mess and needs cutting but I'm nearly 50 years older than him ,

Was this before the kick was taken?

He rearranged his hair during the stoppage in play not whilst anything was happening. Another player (who is only 19 remember) that everyone seems to be trying to find fault with.

Am I alone in being a fan of Jones ?

He's certainly got something, he seems to have bags of potential and I just hope he can do something with it whilst with us.

Think he might find his feet next season. Bare in mind he generally plays for 10-15 mins a week, give him a few full matches and see how he gets on...

Give the kid a chance
We were 2 0 down when he came on and he ran his bollocks off trying to get us back in it
Their left back was booting him up in the air but he kept coming back for more and trying to get things going
Apart from Maycock he's the youngest player in the squad but is expected to perform miracles even though we are usually behind when he's brought on
Let's see how he gets on when he starts a game
Tony Mowbray had faith in him. That's the reason he joined City after his loan last year and declined to even talk to other clubs. He thought he could learn a lot here while playing men's football instead of being stuck in U23 games on better wages at a Championship club
He's featured in every round of the Checkatrade and did well in all those games
I'm sure we're all looking forward to Wembley where the size and condition of the pitch should suit his game perfectly

Reminds me of Ralph Coates and Bobby Charlton adjusting their combovers after a long run on a windy day. That, my friend, is hair re-arranging!

As my friend is fond of saying, Jones is very skilful but doesn't actually know how to play football.

In my opinion, that can be learned, and if so, is better than someone who knows how to play football but has no skills.
