he didn’t? He touched him.
Not my opinion it was a push. I still don't think it was enough for a penalty. But the refs angle and distance from the offence is different to you and I watching on TV.

Plymouth are not contesting the red card, which suggests they know and the player knows and the video evidence shows it was at least a push.

Sometimes defenders should trust their keeper.

it's not a push, his hand barely brushes him

the are not contesting the red card as there is no point as these things are very rarely overturned even when they are clearly bad decisions

The way game is officiated nowadays, you’d think football was a non-contact sport like basketball. Players constantly look for, and even initiate, contact as an excuse to go down.

We’re obviously biased because the Boro penalty has kept them in the playoff hunt but if we conceded that penalty I’d be fuming.

The FA goes too far in protecting bad officials too. It’s a waste of time seeing refereeing “experts” justifying bad decisions that ordinary people can see are just wrong.

yep, it was

worse than i remember as well as he was round the keeper when he decided instead of scoring to fall over on purpose

Ashley Young is the worst diver I've seen. Literally did a somersault one time when he wasn't touched. Still doing it to this day and got a yellow card for it a couple of weeks back.

They are not going to appeal for the same reason no action would be taken against the defender. There was contact. Even Stevie Wonder said it wasn't a penalty. But the FA would take the side of the ref just because they can. The dive got them the winning goal and would open up a can of worms. Middlesbrough should be out of the playoff race and Plymouth should be a point closer to safety.
