I thought Walsh was out of contract at the end of the season and given he hasn’t played yet, why would we pay out for a player who’s on a free in July.
Does anyone know how far away he is from being fit to play?

To ensure he ends up here than risk a bidding war on wages in the summer when he might have more options? Might make Bristol more likely to let him go rather than hold on and offer him a new contract?

Can't see us doing it unless he's already fit - we've signed enough crocks on the understanding they'd be fit soon. Can't see any amount we can afford twisting Bristol's arm either.

He won't be free as he's not 24 until September.

Spoke to my Scottish footy journalist bud. Reid is quick, strong and good technically.. although inexperienced.
Not sure the last bit needed spelling out tbh as he's 18.

Might be good news for you guys, we've allegedly had a bid for sicknote Liam Walsh from a 'Championship club that we've yet to respond to'.
Considering he's been 'injured' since he came back tuppence ha'penny would probably do.
We're guessing it's your good selves BTW.

it could be Blues (hope not) as they have just let Kieftenbeld go to Millwall.

This bit of the article is wild

"We wanted to get him back on loan but I think one of the Coventry players in the left-sided area got called back to Wolves so Coventry want to take him now.

"I couldn't tell you if it is done and dusted, I think it might get done over the next couple of days.

Why are the BBC chatting on about a random not happened transfer. Why is it so open. We’re not signing Neymar.

If he was the complete package at 18 he wouldn't be signing for CCFC

Really? Well Jamie Vardy, Troy Deeney, Chris Waddle, Ian Wright and Stuart Pearce along with a host of others werent the 'complete package at 18.' Hope you are not a football scout.

Regarding Walsh from Bristol Post today....

What about Liam Walsh, how far away is he?
It's difficult to put a timescale on Walsh's injury. We've spoken a lot across the season and it's such a difficult injury that he's had. He's had a lot of frustration in the last months. He's not with the training group just yet.

Can't see we would pay money for Walsh at this stage. He hasn't played since March last year.
