I'm sure some championship sides would of taken him

He turned down a new deal with Blackpool in the summer thinking he could get a Championship move but none were interested.
He then got released by a Turkish 2nd Division team after failing to secure a regular place in their team. Now the best he can get is a Scottish Championship team yet some are convinced he would be our saviour

No comment on Liam Walsh this thread had nothing to do with him.

Josh Reid is a new signing bit out of the blue and hopefully will come in soon and replace Giles and McCallum he has played top division Scottish football and apparently caught the eye, done well and we have moved in and snapped him up these are the sort of signings we have in the recent pastdone well with, better than a loan I may add hopefully there are others on the radar.

Comments I've seen from Ross County fans is that he seems more suited to a wing back role than the full back role he's been playing. Sounds like this is a development signing but circumstances mean he'll be thrust into being a backup immediately, so need to temper expectations a little.

I’m giving him 7 minutes that’s his lot 😁

You just know Sam will get injured and he will come straight into the team. That’s our luck this season.

We should be bringing Mason back immediately and letting Pask go.

Probably have to wait until the Norwich game to see what he is really like, although he may get a few cameos before that.

Did Walsh get injured while he was with us? Our record with long term injuries over the past few years has been very poor.

Mason isn’t good enough.

The problem with Mason isn't necessarily ability. It's that he is very defensive and only suited to being a LB. If we're playing WB he's a bit of a fish out of water. Like Dabo in reverse - can be phenomenal as a wing back but looks ordinary when utilised solely as a defender.

In a different formation he'd be no worse than others (he looked very good before the formation switch).

Mason played left midfield for St Mirren on Sunday, according to the BBC formation.
