I can't see it either. They would probably offer it Cov Rugby, Sphinx, Nuneaton Borough, London Irish or anyone else other than SISU. Or just knock it down. What would SISU do then???
Would there be a problem with that, probably cheaper than a new build.Agree with the “nobody knows” bit, which is why I am curious. In your senerio (which maybe right), that would wipe out wasps, council have the stadium and owe a fine.
Still cant see that they would then sell the stadium to sisu, and if they did, it would have to be at the market price set out in the case ?
Apologies if you aren’t a wasps council lover. It’s just the way you come over in your posts.Sorry ?.
Never been (or would ever go) to a wasps game and have no interest in a council that I don’t contribute to or doesn’t support their local sports team. Not sure why I would love either of those ?. Do tell why I love wasps ?
Why would any of those teams (except maybe London Irish I don’t know their stadium situation) want the Ricoh?I can't see it either. They would probably offer it Cov Rugby, Sphinx, Nuneaton Borough, London Irish or anyone else other than SISU. Or just knock it down. What would SISU do then???

I think it was sarcasm. Why would any of those teams (except maybe London Irish I don’t know their stadium situation) want the Ricoh?
My original hypotheses was the council handing the Ricoh over in lieu of damages. IF that happened, Sisu would have got it for nothing. In my opinion, There is no way SISU have gone through this court battle to pay a fair market price for the Ricoh, there’s nothing in it for them ?

aren't we constantly told that the CCC have strict guidelines when making decisions and that personal feelings don't come in to the decision making process?
We're also told that CCC act in the best interest of the Coventry council tax payer so surely if there ever was a chance of sisu gaining control of the stadium any proposed deal would be assessed in a purely professional manner by the council, (stop sniggering).
Grow up.
Once more for the slow people at the back: unanimous decision by councillors of all parties and none.

London Irish are going to be sharing Brentfords new ground when it opens next year, moving from the Madejski. Why would any of those teams (except maybe London Irish I don’t know their stadium situation) want the Ricoh?
It’s more than just ticket sales and sponsorship, although arena sponsorship would have been renewed probably at a greater fee than wasps could get (but haven’t managed so far). It’s f&b, events, rental of places to play and any other opportunities that could have presented themselves. Anyway, it’s all supposition and guesswork- there may not be a case to answer.Maybe your right, just can’t see it happening as I can’t see how the loss in ticket sales (and maybe sponsorship) will amount to the new larger value of the Ricoh
Grow up.

If the EU complaint was successful SISU still wouldn’t get the Ricoh. Even in lieu of damages.
You’ve got lost opportunities such as sales of tickets etc. But the EU argument is that the Ricoh was undersold.
The damages would have to run to the same amount as the correct value of the Ricoh. Which would be doubtful.
If wasps gave the Ricoh back - would Higgs have to give their share back? I suppose the only viable alternative would be to tender for that share again at the formula price?
Only if they could afford the difference. If not, the council would have to send it back to pre sale stateWasps wouldn't have to give it back, they'd have to pay the difference between what they paid and the market value.
As I recall, there was dissent in the council over the Wasps deal until a meeting (behind closed doors, no minutes or notes taken) with Wasps who gave a 'presentation'. After that, there was unanimity in the council. What happened or was said to change minds?Grow up.

not sure why i am replying to you because you are a spam botIf literally every politician if every party in Coventry is corrupt as you suggest, then there are far far bigger issues than a sports ground to worry about.
I can’t wait to support your campaign on removing this endemic corruption in our local government. After all you’re not just saying shit for internet points right?

Errr, that's the case in Coventry isn't it? The issue with the Ricoh is far from the only problem with the council, and that's just the ones we know about, with all the hush money they've paid out who knows what else is being hidden. If literally every politician if every party in Coventry is corrupt as you suggest, then there are far far bigger issues than a sports ground to worry about.
Wasps website?I’m sure I’ve seen somewhere it’ll be ready for the 2nd week week of September.
A unanimous decision at a meeting without minutes and closed to the public. You'd expect more from a central asian dictator. Just because you've got family members caught up in it doesn't mean you have to be a c**t to people who can see through the bullshit.Grow up.

Wasps website?
Surely it would be a case that wasps would have to give the stadium back, CCC pay wasps the money they paid back and CCC would face a fine ?
At what point would SISU benefit ?
Why a fine? If they have done anything, it is a mistake not a crime.
You may want to stick to the EU thread.
No, I get accused of not talking about football matters on there. But, out of interest, where is the crime?
