Just read about the kam case. The EC previously took a loose approach to state aid having an effect of trade in the EU but it's tightened since that case. ACL are arguing that the loan didn't effect trade in the market.

'My 1st ever tweet. Honoured to be mentioned by Simon Gilbert, the Harry Styles of local journalism'
Haha! Simon does have a touch of the boy band about him it has to be said[Says me who has the look of Tim Fisher's dog's arse on a cold morning]
So what now - summing up?
Depends on what the brief of said PR company is, if it's to throw mud at others to distract from ACLs own failings...
Personally I don't see why they needed them, they already have their own PR and communications team.

Simon Gilbert (@TheSimonGilbert) has just made the point that we’ve finally got a lot of the key people together in the same room - just not the right one.
Sisu QC starts his response.
Says council QC’s submissions contained a “Substantial amount of bluster”.
Ha, Take That, Simon...
Ha, Take That, Simon...
ACL QC infers Coventry not as metropolitan as Copenhagen after Sisu cited case law example in that city earlier in proceedings.
@TheSimonGilbert: Sisu QC says council loan to ACL was the worst of four available options and amounted to state aid.
Bloody Fisherism
I'm disappointed that in three days of court so far, Fisher hasn't coached his QC to use my favourite: 'two turkeys do not an eagle make'
Unless he's saving it for if they win; with in the context of his performance compared with the QC's of ACL and CCC?!?
Sisu QC says club was financially embarrassed and the situation “couldn’t go on”.
Judge responds: “It could not go on without rent being paid.”
Sisu QC says club couldn’t afford to pay the rent as it was (£1.3m). “Something had to be done”.
He also refers to ACL and says both they and the club “were drowning”.
Sisu QC insists loan was state aid and was irrational. “It was the worst of four options.”
@TheSimonGilbert: Sisu QC argues other options for ACL could have been restructured debt with bank, become insolvent or to do a deal with Sisu.
Judge was straight to the point on not paying the rent !
So getting a loan from CCC is worse than becoming insolvent?
Interesting logic
I know I was just joking as people seem to think if people are crammed together it instantly means something. I did make sure I put smileys on the end
