One thing I will add re: some stuff about Les Reid earlier. (And I will respect the 'discuss it elsewhere / PM' sentiment expressed after but there are some important points to make first.)
shmmeee: To me your talk about the bloke looks more like a vendetta than reasonable discussion. He's had excellent relations with many at the council & this “hatred of Labour councils” stuff is completely false and libellous, as is much of what you say. You need to show some actual evidence for your statements and you have given none. Show me one comment by Reid that was unreasonably abusive. (By DM!)
Because he was having influence, he was always going to get shot down by the likes of you, when he eventually argued – after the administration – that the most likely prospect of a Ricoh return was a sale to whoever owns the club. He still has a long track record of exposing Sisu, Football League and others in this dispute so to call his reporting biased is completely unfair.
The best journalists nationally engage in debate, express strong views, and do not pander to commercialism, the majority view or the noisy minority. However, whatever is going on with him at the moment, it doesn't look like he can publicly express opinions or defend himself so best to try and lay off the guy until we know more.
Just please be careful what you say as you are going to cause Nick no end of headaches if you are libelling people on his site.
Hopefully we can respect each other over this and respect the rest of the site in keeping it in more appropriate threads or better still DMs.
(I'm still always happy to do this over a drink too.)
