just seen ticket price vs pompey (1 Viewer)

I fear the issue is with the fact that JPT games have always been cheaper at £5. The fact that the big teams have now turned can be seen as an excuse to raise the prices. The point of adding the big boys into the tournament was to raise the attendances, however i fear by raising the price to £15 it will have the opposite affect.

Big teams have always been in the league cup. They come in later on.

No Italia You're right the money doesn't go into the team at all. Our team is supported by the proceeds of the money tree orchard at Ryton. There was a point, during Boothroyds charge, when they put up a giant fence to stop local scrumpers but I believe that this has since been removed as all of the money is now on the higher branches and the locals can no longer reach it.
FFS let go with the anti club/sisu diatribe.
Oh right, is this paid for out of the football ticket coffers then? If so that is indeed terrible, please can you post a link to evidence for this.
Or is that just another think you've plucked out of thin air with no base to it at all. "they seem to be..." honestly, never heard anything like it

Pretty solid grounds to make things up then and moan about it

'Effort' and 'money' are 2 different commodities.
I'm talking 'effort' here.
All I see is our management pursuing people in court, throwing loose plans in the air and then sitting back wondering why organisations plan without us.

What's that got to do with us having ticket prices the same as everybody else for a game? A game where ticket money is shared anyway.

If in doubt, just go off on an aimless rant or make something up.

Would Portsmouth agree to it? Aren't the prices in this agreed by both clubs? That's why they probably agreed to be the same as most other games.

It just seems higher than previous years. Saying that, I can't remember the last time we had a first round game in this competition.. Hartlepool a few years back perhaps? I think you're right in that both clubs have to agree what to charge. Long way for their fans to travel on a Tuesday night too.

We played Rochdale away last year and lost on pens, it was £13 then.
Year before cardiff at sixfields (lost 2-1) - Tenner, at sixfields and on TV...
2013 was orient away (lost 3-2) - £15.00
2012 dagenham away won 1-0
2011 lost to bury 3-0 away

We have been in the 1st round a while.

It's like talking to a flock of sheep.
I said I don't mind paying a higher price but that the feeling that this money is being misused is putting other people off. You lot then get protective and ask me to prove where Sisu are are using ticket money for court cases. When I point out in response where their 'efforts' are being channelled 'Sisu admin" step in and mention it's not relevant to the thread.

It isn't like speaking to a flock of sheep, it is being realistic isn't it?

45% of this ticket money will be going to Portsmouth straight off anyway.

A higher price than what?

Nobody is getting protective are they? Just stating the obvious.

I meant at home but point well made.

On another note, bought 2 tickets for Swindon away today. £3 admin fee but so much easier to navigate around the site, well worth it for the convenience plus I'm abroad at the moment and still managed to do it with relative ease within minutes.

I bought my Swindon tickets today, last season I could pick seat, row for away games but doesn't seem to be the option to pick now just best available or have I missed something,

You could but everytime mine were delivered there was a note in there saying they wouldn't be the same ones as picked on the website. Then you'd get to the game and be told to sit anywhere!

Mine were allways the ones I'd picked but like you said you could sit anywhere at quite a few, I allways seemed to sit where someone insisted it was their seat though .

I don't mind paying out money if I believe it is being used wisely.

I see no structured plans for the future that gives me the belief that any money I pay to the club will be an investment for the future.
I have bought my season ticket in the premium block 20 area so I have made my token contribution to the team but again, rightly or wrongly, I believe that not 'all' this money goes to the team or its overheads in full.
I see no structured plans for the future that gives me the belief that any money I pay to the club will be an investment for the future.
I have no idea whether a fair proportion of the ticket price is going to the team. My gut feeling is it's not.

Obviously they are putting money into the team but is it a fair proportion ?

And now for the grand finale...

Yes, you've not mentioned money at all, you were talking "effort".

Surely it's got to be a bit embarrassing for you to even attempt a back track like that? The short story is, you tried to throw into question, on a thread about a games ticket prices, where the money is going to. You then got called out on that and got asked to present even the slightest evidence that money is going elsewhere, and then you bottled it cause you know you're full of shite.

Thanks for turning up

To be honest I reluctantly paid the processing fee, mainly because there was no way of avoiding it other than paying on the day, which for away games might be easier for some fixtures than others.

However, if the process is that easy for every fixture (don't see why it won't be), it'll be worth paying the processing fee as I agree it was so much easier to get around the site and complete the transaction!

Shame you don't get the option to collect, even if postage is only £1 :D

I'm assuming it's the way ticket master are able to do it? Would they have the rights / same access as a football club to show the stadium layout for a club they don't actively sell tickets for normally?

Can only assume that's the case, since home games you can see the stadium plan etc.

Out of interest, what device did you use? I haven't looked on a laptop but sometimes it's different between laptop and mobile

Thanks for the pick and mix.
You miss my point entirely.
I Buy my tickets regardless but I am never sure whether my money is being used efficiently and I'm explaining that perhaps this is the reason why some people think ticket prices are too high.
The reference to 'effort' is in response to people saying let it go regards Sisu.
I don't think I'm getting value for money, from them, in the proportion of my money that I give to the off the field activities necessary to run the rest of the club.

I actually bought the Portsmouth tickets on my phone and was going to get Swindon the same but noticed you couldn't pick seats or row so used laptop and it was the same. It just makes it harder to get tickets at the preferred level, hope it's not like this all season but probably will be.

Nothing wrong with £15, after match expenses, 10% goes to the fa and us and Portsmouth get 45% each less vat.

People moan about ticket prices when they are the average in the league.

People are acting like all of a sudden we are now charging triple what every other fixture in the competition is.

As long as it's not a restricted view (which Bradford usually is and annoys me) I do t really have a preference where I sit, and most games it's sit where you like when you get there

It's all about value for money.
If we are top of the league we will pay anything.
When we have just had a major collapse, are losing the academy and stadium facilities, people will even moan about things that are priced right.
When it comes to overpriced items like replica kit etc it really is a leap of faith.
However, if we get to Wembley we will all want one, adverts and all.
