Man City will probably pay a few hundred thousand for him
This did cross my mind, is he on a pro deal yet? He's been in and around the squad for a year already.

I do wonder if we are even at least a slightly stronger position to convince promising young players to stick with us? the facilities aren't totally crap and there are examples of top prospects sticking with championship clubs to get game time and forging a great career now

He signed a pro contract last year, so another club would have to make an offer which would need to be accepted by ourselves.

I think we are in a stronger position, no doubt. The youth/training facilities don't compare to PL clubs but now they are not completely sh*t and somewhat respectable. At least we can now give the players a choice.

Added to the fact that we were the club to help progress players like Gyokeres and the quality of the players in squad now to learn from/look up to. We are night and day from where we were.

5 years ago we would have been scraping the barrel with youth prospects. Any kid in their right mind would take an offer elsewhere if offered.

There's a few clubs watching Lennon Miller apparently so they'll be plenty of scouts at their games.
Wonder if he's caught the eye of any?

Got a Scottish lad at work who rave's about Miller. Thinks he's the best player to come out of Scottish football in a generation. He's hoping Rangers sign him.

It's ok part of the development, I hope we can use him next season be that fully or coming on when someone else needs a breather bout time we had a prospect.

Looks like he hasn't made the matchday squad in the end

Wasn’t aware Karl Darlow was Welsh. Has that always been the case? And to think, they had Danny fucking Ward playing in goal at a World Cup. Sunday League could be a step too far for that clown.

Great to see Matondo scoring. Not sure why he hasn’t played for us yet after definitely signing in Jan.

Matondo, born in Liverpool, no Welsh parents but lived in Wales for a bit...... love International selection criteria..... although sure England have exploited it the years.

Grew up in Wales. Came through the ranks with Cardiff. Got taken cheaply by Manchester City even though Cardiff didn't want him to go and tried to block the move. I have more of a problem with this than the country a young player plays for if not his ancestral origins.

The rules are there. Where a player grows up and gets into football or a big club can take whoever they like with little recompense.

Just Googled and he qualifies via his grandad who was a Welsh international footballer.
