Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted that keeper Joe Murphy and midfielder Adam Barton are doubts for Saturday's trek to Carlisle.

If that means Lee Burge is our only fit keeper, what does that mean re: Chris Dunn?................or is there another teenager lurking in our ranks?

Young lads, Alex Gott (u18's) and Jake Richards (u17's) both good prospects. Alex been with First team squad as 3rd choice so should be ok for back up.

You say that and I can understand where your coming from but I recall several players being pushed too far too soon which did not end well. Did Gillespie not have a breakdown as a result of this policy?

If you are on about Gary - not sure about him having a breakdown, but saw him having a lager on a coach outside Wembley back in '87 after the Cup final (City scarf, even though he was with Liverpool then). Top man

Good job we sold Bigi then or he'd have played every game last season,

Personally like Murphy and hope he makes Saturday's game.....however it is not as if we have looked water tight with him in goall thus far and all for young lad getting a few proper competitive games have no problem with it, would not really want or expect him to play loads but Murphy quite reliable so if he gets five or six games in the year will be great experience for him.

Hope Barton at least makes the bench though just to add some options from bench especially with Baker still suspended.

Burge was a star at Nuneaton last year.no problem, will fill Murphy's boots .As long as the defence is not too exposed it will be difficult for Murphy to get back in

Shortly after his move to Liverpool I was going up the steps to the Main stand at HR and talking to my wife saying that he was an idiot to join Liverpool at that stage since it had an effect on his international career (he was not then in their first team) and who was behind me but Gary himself. He just smiled and winked. Not too sure what that meant at the time!
