Murphy is shocking....sorry but i'm not having this guy.

I've been having a go at him staying on his line all season......he finally comes off it........and now i know why he stays glued to his line.

But even more than not coming for crosses his handling is dodgy as, spills lots of shots. If you watch him in the warm up the number of shots he drops is unbelievable.

Conveniently forgetting an excellent save in the first half.

Shocking is an over-reaction. He's ok, we've been spoiled by having Westwood.

I like him. I don't care what he does in the warm up, McDonald scores hat tricks in training doesn't make him a quality striker on the pitch though does it?

He made a good save in the first half ,made another low down where he nearly spilled it a la birmingham ,palace, but recovered ,he was possibly fouled on the first corner, which Sammy conceded unessecarilly, could have let the ball roll out ,or put it out for a throw ,i'm sure there was an offside on the second corner, and obviously the third one is history.we're are doing no one any good slagging them ,they're what we've got ,mcsheff was quieter tonight, bell gave the ball away 6 or 7 times out of 8 inthe first half ,hussey has never marked tightly enough in any game i've seen,he had a good game saturday linking well with mcsheff ,why was that dynamic changed?Conor had a good game ,and held it together for the 90,the centreback pairing seemed fine,/Juke was on top again ,Roy put in ashift christie shone when he got on,deegan what a cameo,it was a great game for me ,the fans were brilliant tonight, apart from booing or cheering at the substitutions ,take the game in isolation ,overall a very good performance,we got our moneys worth tonight, lets take a full compliment to oakwell and show them we back them,PUSB:D

I agree with that save and i would never say he is shocking he will be alright and like you say we have been spoiled when we had Westwood,

at least we haven't got that goalkeeper we should all remember (Konstantopoulos)

His name should be Guiseppe Murphy. Can't catch for toffee. He's like the continental keepers who have to punch. Every time a shot goes towards the goal I panic if there's an onrushing striker for the rebound. Every time a cross goes in I expect us to give away a corner or throw as he punches it away. He's a dodgy keeper. Decent shot stopper, good communicator, but dodgy.

Id like to see Dunn get a chance. Murphy isn't terrible but if Dunn can hold on to the ball more than Murphy I'd rather him be in the sticks for the next game.

Whilst I'm not saying he's a bad keeper, Dunn looked much safer against Derby; an equally stunning save and handles crosses far better. Murphy is very mouthy but always looks capable of a blunder. (I'm a Dunn fan if you hadn't guessed.)

I didn't have a great view of the 2nd goal but he played better than usual IMO tonight. I agree that he really needs to command that area more, and I have been a critic of his, but I loved the rush-out save he made-a goal then at it was game over. Whilst I may have stuck with Dunn after Derby (just think, he may make the impact Deegan has..he may be the next Westwood!)-I wouldn't be dropping Murph on that performance particularly. Jury still out for me.

A Dunn fan based on what may I ask? Just that 45mins v Derby?
I have seen a fair bit of him @ Northampton & during pre-season & he is nowhere near ready yet.

I see your point, but I can only base it on what I see and, in a real match situation his performance gave the entire team confidence so yes, I am

Westwood was over rated anyway got beat far too many times from long distance! As for Murphy, the bloke is A LIABILITY, not confident in him at all and you can clearly see the back 3 (well 4 if you really want to include Hussey the Pussy) area also not confident get Oggy back in

Thank you lord! Someone who sees what I see. Awful keeper. Absolute bag of nerves!

Fair enough Sheepy. I think he is a decent prospect, has some good attributes, but not a first choice at this level yet.
Ironically, the Northampton fans main criticism of him was that he would never come off his line & command his area, the exact same reason people are saying drop Murphy for him!

For what its worth I think we have been spoilt by having Westwood & Murphy was the best we could realistically sign.

We have been spoiled with westwood, murphy is an average champ keeper imo worries me at times thought he was abit lucky couple of times last night. But any keeper is gonna look shit after westy honestly think we would be in league 1 now if wasn't for him

Do fans have to pick a new player to slag off each week? Yesterday was only the third time he had conceded more then 1 in a league game for us, he made a brilliant stop in the first half by rushing off his line, his distribution is great, he berates his defence a lot more than westwood ever did and in comparison to Dunn he is great as Dunn looked awful in pre-season when he couldnt catch a cold. Still all this Murphy hatred must give Bell a break for a bit.

AEK Athens

On 13/7/11 Konstantopoulos signed a two-year deal with greek giants AEK Athens keeping him at the club until 2013[11]. Due to Konstantopoulos' very impressive performances at Kerkyra where he was awarded Superleague Greece keeper of the year he was AEK Athen's main target in the Summer transfer period to replace Argentinian keeper Sebastian Saja. Shortly after he signed Konstantopoulos stated, "It is an honour to be chosen starting goalkeeper at a huge team like AEK is and I thank AEK for believing in me. One thing I can promise to the fans is that I will give my best effort every match and I will try my best to help AEK succeed there goals by winning the league."[12]

Sorry to disappoint, but you ARE having this guy! He may not be upto the standard that we would all like, BUT he is our number 1 goalkeeper. He DOES give his all trying to stop shots and he IS representing our team.

He needs YOUR support! Try getting behind the team whether they are good, bad or indifferent, instead of slating them all the time!
