Good to see the young lad proving his critics wrong.

I think Stokes gets better with each game. The experience of playing week in week out is improving his game.
Still think, long term, we need someone more experienced.
Surely long term he becomes more experienced?
Reading what you say there what a state Waggott has put our club in. Just what is this bloke thinking of. IMO Chris Stokes is good enough to be signed full time, on a contract and worked on, wouldn't be expensive. He's only on a 28 day loan isn't he? First priority for Mowbray is to sort a deal out somehow to keep him.
It would be very high risk to have him as the only keeper in the run in.

Loan players can sign after the transfer deadline I think but I suppose Forest Green will want some sort of recompense, wouldn't be thousands but as you know we don't buy players anymore. I think if we don't sign him someone else will. As for Haynes he may do okay playing in front of Stokes but not sure if we can experiment yet. We are certainly treading on egg shells squad wise in a number of departments.

Did your lad enjoy himself, Torch? Hope so. Hope he tells HIS mates....they really are our future.
He may be that good luck charm :guitar2: we've been missing. PUSB
He certainly proved me wrong yesterday. He commanded his box well, caught the ball brilliantly and stopped shots well. There was only one scary moment early in the game when a pretty tame shot squirmed under his body, luckily it was the wrong side of the post. Still think, long term, we need someone more experienced.
I think if the lad hits 15 games he gets an automatic contract extension. It is worrying that we have a completely untested keeper on the bench. I presume the logic is that is Burge gets injured they do an emergency loan. The problem with getting a keeper ion loan now. The theory is they are back up to LB unless the keeper currently is third choice elsewhere I can't see the attraction for them to come.
It is a shame that our younger players have to develop now in such a critical make or break situation. Especially as a goalkeeper where mistakes generally automatically cost goals.
Oggy basically has a job for life at the club which sadly isn't based in his ability as a coach. Alright for some eh?
The club know that if they brought in someone better then they'd have to face the backlash from the fundamentalists. They were the ones who kept thorn in the job too long and essentially relegated us.
Yeah Don It shouldn't be happening In
such critical circumstances
We will find out If the lad sinks or swims! though hopefully without consequence to the Club
I have to say overall I am. disappointed with the output of Oggy over how many years Is It ?
Burge isn't young. Westwood and Murphy were first team regulars at his age.
He can't be developing in his mid twenties still. Alsop is what, a year older?
People should be asking waggot why he wasn't retained for the whole season. He was a better keeper and it's another poor recruitment strategy by waggot - as has the whe goalkeeping strategy all season.
Worryingly I'm starting to sound like Rupert.
