I thought Wilson was poor with his distribution which lead to the second and third goals, he sometimes treats the ball like a hot potato.

1) He didn't come off his line quick enough for the first.
2) The second it was his poor pass to Panzo that put him trouble that immediately led to the foul and the freekick. And then he probably could have come for the cross.
3) not his fault.

Panzo had plenty of time. He dwelt on it.

Yeah, his distribution is poor. I don't think he's necessarily the long term answer but the clamour to put the guy in who cost us multiple points at the beginning of the season is a bit much.

Give it a rest, he cost us points in 3 games, Wilson has cost points in many more.

Moore had an entire season last year where he was much better than Wilson, it is quite bizarre how this is ignored.

I think we have bigger issues, but if we're looking for an upgrade, then we could do a lot worse than try for someone bench warming in the premiership like Heaton who's not played at Man Utd in the 18 months he's been there. Wouldn't be cheap but be huge at this level.

I agree. Wilson isn't great but especially in light of O'Hare, McFadzean and Godden 's injuries we have much greater issues to address in January.

The sad truth is that we need a new keeper but this isn’t a priority till the summer.

Both raise my blood pressure when they play.

No chance of getting Heatons arse and off that bench at Old Trafford certainly not for the money we would be offering, it wouldn’t be a shock if he was getting at least 50k per week there getting splinters.

Jack Butland?

Sarkic may be available, I've heard Wolves are looking to upgrade their number 2 keeper, I can't remember ever seeing him play, but he was well liked on here for a while.

With our squad depth as it is, and with our finances what they are, it would be insane to spend what little money we have on another keeper in January. It’s the least important position on the pitch, which is why we’ve been able to get away with playing Coco the Clown there for most of this season.

Yep he'd do. Any of those experienced at top level. Wages of course an issue but if they've eatnt plenty and want to end their last couple of years playing regularly in a progressive team with a good environment and decent fan base, then we hopefully still have some pull.

So, it's a usual Wilson Out thread (he just scares me whenever the ball comes near him, and he can't get it away from himself in the direction he means to!), but with a twist...

How many keepers have actually looked *that* convincing against us? Foderingham managed to drop a cross when completely unchallenged, an error that if Wilson had mae would have had him ousted by us all... and quite rightly. Palmer(?) didn't look stunning for West Brom either, if honest.

Is looking for a solid error free keeper at this level looking for as mythical a beast as the 20 league goal a season striker? That once in a lifetime elixir when otherwise you're picking up fools gold time and time again?

Do we have to accept a mildly adequate-to-rubbish keeper is the best we can hope for?
Vik only needs another 8 ?

Lots of times today he had the option of a quick throw out, but hung onto the ball too long.

Infuriating ,couldn't make a snap decision unlike the Bristol keeper who moved the ball quickly. He needs to be in the faces of the centre backs when they make a mistake like Panzo was doing when dicking around in the 6 yd box.

Wilson glued to his line again for the chance Sheaf cleared off his line. His distribution is appalling and he doesn't communicate with his back 3 when they're facing their own goal, get him the fuck out.
In his defence if he had rushed out Semenyo would have just squared it anyway. That one was on Panzo

I know he’s rated by his fan club on here but I’d be amazed if he’s given another contract this summer.

yes but his throwing is almost as bad as his kicking, it wasn't unnoticed that the Brizzle keeper yesterday caught everything that came his way surely a given for any goalkeeper at this level...

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Robins brings a keeper in this January, certain he will in summer so one in perhaps a loan I can see happening but there are other priorities so likely to depend on the finance situation.

We do need a keeper but can't see it happening in Jan.

Like you say there are other areas which are much higher priority and given we've got the most clean sheets in the league despite Wilson/Moore I just don't see it being a priority in Jan, we'll wait till the summer I assume.

We'd all love one but it's well down the list of priorities.

He has the horrible habit of giving it the centre back who is standing near to him when he could spread it out wide earlier.

Every time the ball goes into our area I worry and imagine the defenders do as well.

We need to get rid of at least three of the keepers we don’t need five keepers on the books, three is plenty as you can get in an emergency loan.
