It amazes me how some people have a rose tinted view on what really happened. Sisu tried to get the stadium on the cheap by leaving - putting pressure on the council and a charity- Higgs Trust to sell on the cheap to a hedge fund who NO OF US TRUSTED . Any council not just Coventrys have a responsibility to get the best deal for the Coventry public - because its OUR MONEY which helped towards the development of the stadium. If Sisu got thier way - and got the stadium on the cheap - WE ...the local council tax payer would of lost out . The council got thier money back because a business was prepared to pay the full amount - NOT at the expense of the local tax payer .Sisu had the carpet pulled from under thier feet . And rightly so .
I don't support Wasps or like them here - no more than anyone else . But the council - who are not by far perfect, were right to get the best financial deal for its citizens and not just for skyblues fans.
Who is this fuxxxxg idiot he's up his own arse.

The lord major is just a glorified host.
Has no say and no influence therefore just take him for what he is nothing.

Actually the Lord Mayor is supposed to be the best representative of the city they serve.

On the Coventry CC Website it’s this

The Office of Lord Mayor of the City of Coventry works for the good of the city and all its people. The Lord Mayor will:

Promote work with other organisations.
Help to encourage investment and opportunity for businesses.
Encourage equal opportunities for all
Work with those who can help the city to be successful.
Thank those individuals and organisations who have brought success to the city.
Welcome visitors to the city, promoting its historic past and exciting future.
Represent the city at home, nationally and internationally as an "Ambassador" for Coventry.

Safe to say he’s shit the bed with a few of those….

He is not one bit interested in CCFC 😡
When Wasps came he suddenly started to sport a black & gold scarf, and pretended to know something about Rugby 😂
He was just one of quite a few who thought they could change the sporting landscape of a working class city which in the majority has football at its heart. I suppose they were thinking it would bring in large crowds with good income for local business, like quite a few RU Prem clubs do but how wrong they were.
Would be interested to get their perspective on how things are now?? Duggins, Derdie Barlow, Maton & co all have questions to answer.

how’s the wasps charity doing - glad to know they’d never shortchange a charity.
See they left the justgiving page up and working even after they wound up the concern.

Maton on twitter now comparing Wasp to BP and Amazon because of their tax inavasion and its what all big companies do, seriously this guy is Lord Mayor and an elected Councillor ffs. Guy us an absolute fucking tool being polite!
They're not though are they.
Both viable tax evasive outfits , compared to one merely that's unviable thus unable to.

What was it Duggins said, "The Public Opinion is firmly on our side"?

There is only so far the "IT WOZ SISU" PR will take them, even the local media have seemingly picked up on that.

I’m loving how the worm is slowly turning for these pricks. If you act like a c**t for long enough, someone is eventually going to stick a dick in you. Hope this guy gets in all holes.
The thing is, they seem oblivious to the fact they look like pricks.

Amazon and oil companies hire more lawyers and accountants than Wasps have employees. Im not saying its fair but this is why they are treated differently. Tax man will go after the low hanging fruit and take the taxes without chasing from the thousands of workers they employ. These mega corporations, are to difficult or influential to catch out, its easier, not fairer to go after the little man.

Wasps are hardly the little man, are they?

Compared to Amazon and oll companies who are global brands, id say they are. Which is what Maton compared them too and i posted on. If you want to argue that oil companies and amazon are not bigger the Wasps, then ill jump out that convo, as it sounds like a different level of stupid to me.

As much as i empathise with the idea that companies like Amazon take the piss with the tax laws, they as far as i know pay what they're supposed to. It's a different issue.
Of course the whole thing ignores that the ultimate owner of Wasps is a maltese based hedge fund.

Just another one of those Wasps idiots who joined the forum trying to convince us all it was ccfc fault for the pitch fiasco.
they would be better off if they put their time into having a collection to pay hmrc than come on here.when they finally go bust we need to bring back the dunking stool and burning at the stake for anyone suspected of being or going to a wasps game
