I just don't understand why things have got so much worse with regards to the behaviour of our fans...I certainly don't remember it being this way even 10 years ago. I remember when I was 16,17, 18 years old and had a season ticket; I would walk to and from Highfield Road (particularly for night games) and never felt concerned about there being violent episodes to witness, and I certainly don't recall seeing any. Yet nowadays it is almost every match.

Is it a result of fans frustrations against the owners? Is it just more evident to me as I am more aware of my surroundings due to recent world events? Do these scuffles stick in the mind more because I would like to one day take my nieces to a game, only to then think that I would not wish for them to see such behaviour, or risk being verbally abused or even spat at?
There is no more of it happening, in all likelihood there is less but because of social media you get to hear about them all in every detail. I didn't see any trouble after Saturday so 10 years ago I wouldn't have heard about it but now everything is magnified.
