Anyone successful in buying a children’s home kit this season? If so what is the sizing like compared to last year? Want to get one for my lad’s birthday (like every year) and looking at the sizing he’s at the top end of the height-size for a medium, but is only just 10 and they’re supposed to be for 10-12 year olds.

Last year’s kit was a medium, which now looks a bit small on him, but don’t know if it’s shrunk or he’s grown!

Will take a chance on large if nobody has bought one yet I think.

Large sounds the best option, got one for my lads 10th birthday as the medium won't fit for much longer. Size says 12/13, but I imagine the idea is to get the kids into adult sizes earlier as they cost more.

I am tempted to fall back on the ‘he’ll grow into it’ mantra and ‘go large’, you just know it will be massive and he’ll grow into it just as they release next year’s...

Might be too late mate but I bought my 10 year old a large boys shirt a few weeks ago - its quite generous in size and has drowned my lad a bit. He is aged 10 of average height though, but he's a skinny little runt :shamefullyembarrased:. Number is so far down back of shirt half of it is tucked into his shorts. Plenty of room for growth I guess. I'm still a bit put out by the cost though best part of £80 for whole kit when shipped down to me in Kent. Putting 'Chaplin' name on the back of the shirt may have been a bit rash but fortunate in that it is also our surname!

Average height skinny runt sounds about right. Oh well, too late now. On the bright side I got the missus to confidently say he’d need a large, so I can always blame her.
