Whilst he is captain he is guaranteed a start, I've seen him play wide left, left back and holding midfield and have been very underwhelmed. his distribution today with aimless punts with some going straight out he was awful and needs to be dropped.

He played one good pass to McGoldrick from which he hit the post, but that was literally the only decent thing I saw him do, tbh. He passed the ball backwards a lot and has no pace whatsoever.

Said this before the season started, wouldn't be good enough or fit enough to compete regularly. Played 9 games last year, how many 35+ year olds play 40 games a season, very very few!

I am sure if we strip Kilbane of the captaincy all our problems will be solved.

Needs to picked on merit and placed in a position where can contribute - with that logic he will be dropped and shouldn't make the bench either.

Hahaha you for real? That guy was never the hardman he was billed up to be. Deegan made him look like a pussy cat, and Deegan was never that tough himself, for someone nicknamed 'pitbull'

(Yes I hate Doyle)

doyle was class. no nonsense. played for the team and wore his heart on his sleave

Kilbane to me is a decent squad player who can cover several positions if needed. My main problem with him is as captain he should be leading by example yet today he was constantly wayward with his passes and let players walk past him while at LB so what kind of example is he setting for the young guys of the team (of which there are many)? I dont think it is cure all our problems (unless SISU have a clause to leave if Kilbane loses the captaincy) but it could only be positive to make someone else captain (McGoldrick at this rate)

I believe he is only getting in the team for who he is, a big name in a league full of nobody's. if it was anyone else he would have been dropped weeks ago. Can't see what he contributes to the team, no inspiration, no leadership, no drive, can only pass sideways to feet and is way too slow for any position

Ridiculous signing, God only knows who thought this was a good idea, complete waste of a wage.
I can only assume it's because he is mates with Carso, Some players have successful careers without ever actually showing any kind of genuine ability, Kilbane comes into this bracket, time to piss off.

Although i didnt think he would set the league alight, i at least hoped he would bring in an experienced head to help the younger players and put in a shift but he has been disappointing to say the least.

McPake was pants, out of position, rushing into tackles, hoof the ball long and chronically injury prone! Much better off without him. Made Brown look like an England International now that is saying something! Kilbane has been disappointing I agree. Perhaps time to rest him and use him off the bench?

The only thing you got right there was injury prone

I thought McPake looked decent and his only real downfall was only seeing him in a cov shirt twice a season if you were lucky (a massive downfall mind you ;))

I liked Michael Doyle. I remember fondly that time he squeezed an opposing player's bollocks, who turned around, punched him in the face and got sent off. :claping hands:
