Look at what I said. Did I say I asked for every piece of news behind the scenes. No, I didn't. What I said was the fans have asked for it. The board have listened. Now some fans don't like what they're hearing in the media and they change the rules. So before going off on one at fans like myself maybe you should take a minute to engage your brain and understand what I've said properly.

I quoted you because your message said the club shouldn't have said about verbal agreement. They can't win. And then you quote me and talk about dumb Coventry fans. This has got way off point, my point was that football fans can't have it their own way all the time. Transparency of behind the scenes goings on was asked for - not by myself, not by you, but by a hell of a lot of others - and that has been shown by the new board. For a majority of Coventry fans to ask for that and then turn round and say "this news shouldn't have been released" is nonsense. I don't care if you or I weren't one of the ones to ask for it, it WAS asked for and that's why that news was released. It was done with Thorn, nobody complained. You can't argue that point and to do so isn't superiority, it's stubborness and narcissism. Completely different to being a smartarse.

Look, I'll risk the wrath of tosser-mcknow-it-all but I was one of those who (not publicly) wanted more transparency.
It has somewhat backfired but I am actually pleased with the board (assuming they haven't used the "transparency" as a cloak for selling more shirts (which co-incidentally got released on the same day.))
This 1 mistake aside, I have enjoyed hearing from the board more. It at least gives me an impression they want to listen/are prepared to keep us in the loop. I do resent being referred to as dumb though, it evidentally takes someone of your extreme genius to have foretold that this chain of events was going to unfold as it did and tbh, if the rumour is true, then it is likely to have happened regardless of whether the club made it public or not

Ha ha I just read the report on skysports.com. Its about as concrete as the CET. All it says is they have made an offer which is probably not true. So Birmingham who most likely were not even considering King before Friday have thought lets try and hijack this deal and bring him to St. Andrews. Well fuck off McLeish he has 'VERBALLY AGREED' to stay a SKY Blue!!

I do have to say as well that a verbal agreement is legally binding, although harder to prove than a physical document, obviously! I think a lot of this talk is really just that, talk. It's just a bit too convenient that we hear nothing for ages and then as soon as he's reportedly verbally agreed the deal with us it all kicks off with other clubs. It's definitely his leach of an agent panicking that he's not getting that extra buck he so adamantly deserves and pimping out his client more to try and get it.

I don't care what people say M.King definately owes the club and its fans something. We picked him up when other clubs wouldn't go near him with a 10 foot pole, we took all the stick as a club and fans for taking him on. The fans were brilliant with him from day 1. We paid him a good wage for months whilst he was still regaining his fitness up until January/February time. All we have had in return is two months of good form.
This will be a huge slap in the face if he rejects us now after telling the club and the staff he would be staying

I have no idea what the legal issues is with a verbal agreement but if it came down to it it is the clubs word against King and the agent, all they have to say is he never agreed to stay on with the club and nobody can prove otherwise unless they had recordings of the phone conversation or something

Losing the plot?! Because a lot of rumours (that's all they are at this stage) have come out on the back of the club announcing a verbal agreement with King, which they also did with Thorn. There's absolutely not one bit of difference to that but because you've been wound up by hearsay and conjecture you've now decided this was a wrong move. Hindsight, said it before and I'll say it again, a wonderful thing to have. So no, I don't agree that anyone has lost the plot.
