Hmmm. I know what you’re saying but I’d happily have the person who put the banner up banned from the stadium. If they’re willing to go to the trouble of making and putting that up….and at no point questioning whether it was a wise/sensible move…then it’s probably only a matter of time before they did something embarrassing/poor taste on the spur of the moment in the ground

There’s nothing the club can do about banners on the M69 tho and while it’s shitty, I’m not sure is has the same affect as racist abuse at a game, which is aimed at discouraging an entire demographic from the sport.
Doesn't mean that severe punishment shouldn't be given out ASAP.It happens all over the country especially for local derbies.
They can't sue him, what part of right of admission reserved do you not understand?I’m certain swfc will and if there are bail conditions might have done so, their problem is though if he doesn’t get charged it could leave them open to be be sued. As Mr. Bumble the Breadle said the law is an ass.
There will be, seems a decent sized minority seem to think "that while racism is bad he deserves something"I sincerely hope the Sheff Weds fans aren't stupid enough to boo KP tonight .....
That's my fear .There will be, seems a decent sized minority seem to think "that while racism is bad he deserves something"
That needs sorting. It’s a hate crimeBefore we get too self righteous. Let's not forget the banners over the M69 are in the same bucket. Both are the acts of morons spreading hate and inciting hate. Both should receive banning orders.
I don’t. explain it to meThey can't sue him, what part of right of admission reserved do you not understand?
They can let or not let in whoever they want as long as they do not break the Equality Act 2010.
Fair chance he’s a season ticket holder. They could have some control as to how he gets in.They can't sue him, what part of right of admission reserved do you not understand?

It is private property.I don’t. explain it to me
Question for the masses
Why weren't we this reactive after the terrible messages sent to Dabz after the Playoff Penalty ?
This isn't even the first time in 8 months that our club has encountered this vile behaviour. It's almost as if we've forgotten.
BBC report was 4 sentences and let's move on. Coventry 'sickened' by Dabo abuse after penalty miss
agreed People were caught up in the stupid penalty miss. But i didn’t see anyone refer to colour or race on here. They would have been banned. The club addressed it.
People had different ways of channeling their angst. it certainly wasn’t on their radar to consider that twerps were posting racist hate on Twitter or other platforms.
I think people need to call it out. But if they do. What next? A knife, being surrounded by thugs? The Police don’t seem motivated to act. Surely technology can pick up exactly who does this. It's like people don't acknowledge we have exactly the same people in our fanbase and these types exist in every fanbase.
I've heard racist comments at Rotherham away when they hammered us in our promotion season.
A friend told me that the bloke behind him at Wembley called Panzo something really unpleasant after his error at the play off final.
These people walk among us unfortunately.

You don’t need to be proved guilty of a crime to be banned from a football stadium.
The club will have likely been involved as the police will have asked them who brought those tickets as a first point of investigation. That's true but we don't know if the club is aware of the identity of the person who has been arrested.
The police may not divulge his identity at this stage, no doubt because they might be worried about it being a breach of the data protection rules or his human rights.
Our country is actually quite good compared to some. Was it ever proven it was city fans? The internet is a cesspit, especially places like Twitter. A lot of those messages which were public were from strange foreign accounts IIRC.
If it was people behind the goal then it would be the same thing.
If the club doesn’t have the ability, resources or willingness to identify someone who’s already been arrested for committing a racist crime inside their own stadium then they absolutely deserve to have the book thrown at them. There should be zero excuse. That's true but we don't know if the club is aware of the identity of the person who has been arrested.

Yep, a gnat can’t fart without something picking it from 10 miles away. If they really wanted to, they could. But that would infringe the civil liberties of the GnatWith technology nowadays there should be a much better way of reporting things at games.
I know every so often it will be "here's a number to text" but it would be so easy to have something where:
1. Fan can anonymously report racism, anti social behaviour at games. An app or something.
2. Goes direct to control room who can watch the CCTV on the spot
3. Radio to the closest response team and have them thrown out within a couple of minutes (or arrested).
Only issue is stuff like "this kid is kicking my chair" and the really petty crap and filtering it out.
If there's a bloke with his kids, he may not want to confront a group of blokes off their heads or pissed up.
The mood amongst many SW fans of the same as many of ours. Some fans may not get it.I sincerely hope the Sheff Weds fans aren't stupid enough to boo KP tonight .....
He should come onto the pitch before kick off with a microphone and publicly apologise to Palmer, and the whole crowd for being a weapons grade bell end of a human being.Personally I'd like to see him apologise to Kasey in person and if Kasey was willing. Then he could suffer the ban and whatever sentence is imposed but I'm wary of a social media pile on. We need more healing and less hate
I’m pretty sure that any commercial company can ban anyone from their premises without a court. If that person then enters the premises they can be immediately arrested for trespass. This is how shops deal with shoplifting. If under a certain amount the police don’t attend, but if you steal while trespassing it is then burglary. Might not get police attendance just for trespassing but they would already be there. So if SWFC want to serious they can be.Are you real?
It was the case many years ago before CCTV. But now you get recorded all the time. It is undeniable evidence a lot of the time. We have all seen what the racist w@nker did. Bang to rights and guilty 100%. It was so conclusive that their other racists didn't try to say it didn't happen but tried to blame it on Palmer.
Or would you like to explain to me how he is innocent until he goes to court when everyone who is interested has witnessed him doing it.
Condemnation, and also self reflection on our own behavioursWhat do you think the appropriate reaction should be?
I’m no lawyer so don’t know but I think a fan has to admit liability and normally get a caution and subsequently a banning order from police and/or club but if this fan is saying he is innocent not sure what swfc can do. We all want the guilty man dealt with but this chap has yet to be charged so might not be charged, if it was me I wouldn’t go but he might be saying I’m innocent so fuck it I’m going.
Any decent defence lawyer would be yelling prejudice until he is charged.

All well and good, but as Palmer says, issuing statements has only taken us so far.Condemnation, and also self reflection on our own behaviours
