I don't understand why Tudgay, didn't put it to his right/the keepers left.
Cheers trench and pm, couldn't remember exactly
What's great about Lameiras though, is his quick feet can go around a defender, when he's cornered and in theory, going nowhere
Agreed. I quite like when he gets in those compromising situations as I'm intrigued as to how he will wriggle out! Has the potential to be a hell of a player, just hope we tie him down early enough so we don't lose him on a free next summer (compensation would be minimal I imagine). Certainly one of our shining lights this season so far.
Is he on a one or two year deal?
I assume if it's a one, we can extend it to two.
But if he keeps improving, make it a 3 year deal IMO
From memory, the Lameiras pass was a different incident, where the ball ran too far and Tudgay had to go right and cross it.
I think he will struggle once we get into the winter months. His overall influence over 90 minutes is already fairly small and it could rapidly disappear to nothing.

2 year deal. Great signing and I think he'll only get better.

He has been most effective when playing on the right side in my humble opinion.
He is still young and lacks competitive first team experience to fall back on. The exiting thing is he is just setting out on his career and should develop physically and mentally.
He will probably lack a bit of consistency throughout the season, but I still feel he will make a positive contribution whether in the starting eleven or coming off the bench. I don't buy this he will struggle in the winter months, because other countries have grotty winters too, many have greater extremes than here.

I love to see a side playing a ball along the floor between defenders for a striker to run onto. I've seen Lameiras do that twice now: the first a very clever delayed pass for Armstrong and the second for Tudgay yesterday which unfortunately didn't lead to a goal. He's worth his place if he does this once per week in my book.
