I say good luck to you Jan, and i will certainly join up when everything is put in place.

Doing something is far better than doing nothing, ignore those that criticise and in the end your earn the respect of the majority.

To Mexico and LBB: if you don't want to help the club I love for petty reasons then you are no supporter in my eyes.

Thanks Cheever, I was only adding a touch of humour to proceedings, but it seems that this is beyond some. Never mind, sarcasm is a trait developed with age.

As Brinner and Jan know, I applaud their efforts...and have gone on record on the radio and on this and the CET forum to state this.

However, schmee does touch on an interesting point. In his opinion, disagreeing with fans choosing to support/not support a voluntary group is a more accurate reflection of their support than saying attending games...home and/or away.

Although, I'll ignore his barb at me, he implies that Mexico is not a fan of CCFC. However, if Mexico goes to the games, according to schmee he is still not '...a supporter...'.

Schmee, how would you define those (and there were plenty) who hailed SISU as 'saviours', branded those hanging onto their shares as 'selfish' or 'killing the club', and have now seen the light? Supporters or not?

Listen, buddy, think before you write, eh?

An apology is not needed as we all realise the idiotic nature of your assumption that by failing to support the initiative as set up Jan et al makes you a non-supporter.

I do back the NEW SBT, not the old one, it was shite. However, whether it represents the majority of fans is questionable, and therefore your comment is totally out of order....

something i feel needs to be addressed - although at the minute there are abviously more important issues - is the way season ticket holders are treated unfairly sometimes, or not looked after as well as they could be.

Regularly throughout the season deals are offered on match tickets, yet season ticket holders have likely paid more for that particular game.
There was a season ticket holders only area by block 17 for a bit, didn't last very long.
Discounts are offered to local community groups, schools, scout groups etc etc, and as much as i know its important to attract as wide a fan base as possible, what about something for the season ticket holders?

i know they have early bird deals, free scarf before a certain date etc, but once you've bought your season ticket its almost like thanks very much we've got your money and thats it.

Sky do the same thing Free installation, and 6 months half price sports, but if you're a regular customer.....bugger off!

This, or any trust, will only work if fans across the board are involved, for people to make the decision not to join based on things like who is in the trust or even bad grammar (especially when yours is fucking atrocious) says more about some of our fans than the trust.

Good luck Jan, I'll be happy to join as keyboard warrior but cannot make evening meetings in person (though a family member is very involved and knows my views quite well I imagine).

To Mexico and LBB: if you don't want to help the club I love for petty reasons then you are no supporter in my eyes.

As a matter of interest, how do you define a 'supporter', shmee??? :thinking about:

These sort of associations don't interest me in truth. Fair enough if they do but reminds me of the 70's when hourly paid employees were allowed at board meetings.

I'm not critical but dont see the point.

Reading the link to the formation of the Supporters Trust at Swansea City is inspiring, and certainly shows what can be achieved.

Obviously our situation is different, and I fear much more urgent.

It is good to see that we are getting a much more professional approach to this situation, as this is the only way we will be taken seriously.

When the trust is properly reformed, I think it is critical that we get as many people in positions of power onside as soon as possible. Names springing to mind are :

John Mutton/Coventry City Council together with ACL and the Higgs Charity. What would their stance be if the talks with SISU break down and there is a serious threat of liquidation ? Post SISU, these are people we need to build strong relationships with.

Local MPs

Local businessmen, if the club has to be reformed it needs to be locally based and funded and reflect the local community.

Local media, where possible. Positive force if the Trust is seen as a professionally run body.

Gary Hoffman and his team, what is his stance if the current talks break down ?, surely as a life long supporter, he would not just walk away. He also has access to funding and presumably legal advice.

Members of this forum. I have noticed that there are a few who seem really knowledgeable, Old Sky Blue jumps to mind.

I am aware that the London Supporters Club has a number of professional people in it's ranks, a good profile in the Capital would do no harm.

I am sure there are others, but if we can get the above on our side, and pulling in the same direction, it would put enormous pressure on SISU who knows maybe they might even see sense and sell for a sensible price and let the club escape from the current nightmare and move forward in a positive way.

I shall join the Trust, but as a long distance supporter (150 miles away) logistics get in the way of attending meetings, however, every success to the Trust, let's hope it is the first step towards a brighter future for the club.

Hi all first time post long time biteing my tongue on here lol as a oldham fan reading, I would just point u towards owtb forum there is a trust bit on there if it helps. I did contribute to our trust when it was set up but our representative on the board is just a spokesperson to the fans every now and again, a lot of fans are unhappy with him!

I guess what Im trying to say is that just cos you get a fan on the board it won't neceseraly mean communication he will be told what he can communicate and what he can't also he can advise what the fans want doesn't mean it will happen. Anyway all the best with the new season hope we finish above you though couldn't take the abuse in work of we don't.

When's the tram going to be ready so we can get to Oldham from Manchester.

On another note what price is the beer round your way...£1.80 for bitter?

I believe the tram is done although we have the same problem as you as it doesn't go to the ground, don't think there is much diffrance in the price of beer from my last visit
