People seem getting so carried away and over joyed that sisu are screwed they forget they own our club while I wouldn't give two shits if they went under, I would if it meant our club did too.

I think you are confused over people been over joyed with SISU getting screwed. With people hoping that this maybe the catalyst to bring an end to this saga.

Most people think SISU will not build a new stadium.

Most think they need to do one of two things buy a controlling share in ACL or agree a very long term rent.

Neither of these things are going to happen quickly whilst they pursue a futile costly legal case. Also whilst they keep persisting about building a new stadium.

Which is where we were a few days ago. Looking at 4 years of uncertainty whilst SISU hope to buckle ACL.

If there is truth in the wasps rumour it may force SISU to play their final hand earlier and bid themselves or secure the long term rent before ACL is sold.

Personally that is my hope in this, nothing to do with SISU getting screwed over.

Completely to do with the frustration of having to hear about a new stadium when I know buying ACL is the better option.

Or

Having to watch SISU through money down the pan on legal bills in a futile case that could be spent on the squad.

It will never 'pass to the football club', the club, or rather the clubs owners, will need to stump up some cash. No I don't see that having new owners of ACL leads to all hope ending.

For me, the fact that Wasps want 90% is quite telling. Do you think then, that having secured 90%, Wasps would then be open to selling a chunk of it back to somebody else? Least of all a tenant that happens to generate them a nice little residual income from parking, f&b, pitchside advertising and hospitality every other week? Please enlighten me as to what motive Wasps would have to sell part of the stadium back to the football club?

But SISU will not make that decision, and therefore we are reliant on the council to block this takover or at least delay it for as long as possible so that we can put pressure on SISU or perhaps awaken any potential new owners that are biding their time. The moment that deal is done, it is the end of CCFC at the Ricoh in the long term.

The issue here is less that ACL might be sold, it is who it is being sold to that is the problem. If a company like AEG were to make a bid for ACL I would be far less concerned, because it would remain in their interests for the football club to remain and make use of the main stadium bowl.

Wasps have a different agenda entirely and wan't to buy it in order to use the stadium bowl themselves, and this creates a conflict. Under the terms of any deal to sell to Wasps, their needs would take precedence and we would be the junior partner in the ground share, and any route to ownership would be blocked.

If fans want to start doing their bit to stop this, Cov-based folks should contact their local councillors and tell them they don't want this.

Non-Cov-based fans should spread the word to Cov people to do the same.

Thankfully there is some local democracy possible here.

With all the bickering everyone seems to have missed the most important thing. SISU don't (publicly at least) sound like they're going to fight this head on.

Rob, we could really do with some insight about what our owners are or aren't going to do about gaining control of our club and their assets future. Have you had any feedback from them at all other than what the Trust has announced?

We know that as a group of fans we will do our bit, we've proved that over the last year or so and it's clear that we don't want this to happen as a collective. The whole council lover sisu lover line is getting more than tedious. This is not about our past it's about our future so we need to be looking forward.

It seems pretty clear that another party can see the value in the Ricoh. We need to pressure all the parties involved in the Ricoh to not complete this deal and we need to pressure our owners to do a deal instead. There is now a template on how the deal can be done we need our owners to see a way of using it.

And another thing. It's only a community asset if it represents the community. The only way that's going to happen is if CCFC are calling it home.

Good point about Cov folk contacting their local councillors to register their displeasure. When's the next council elections? Could you get a candidate or two to stand again?

Oh and so speaks our very own Knight in shining armour !! I remember you virtually in tears at the Squirrel regarding sisu and what they were doing to our club. All this is down to them and the plan, path or both they have chosen. I'll ask you one question Michael "Who owns our club" ?

Absolute bollox mate never supported sisu, like most didn't know a lot about them initially but to me soon became apparent they were in it for non football reasons.
