Agreed. We’ve been blessed to have some really good GKs over the years (after relegation); Hedman, Steele, Fulop, Marshall, Westwood (we had Westwood and Marshall at the same time for crying out loud!) and Murphy.
So yeah, when we have players like Burge, RCC and Allsop filling that role, they all look relatively terrible. I think Burge probably is one of the best, if not the best, GK in the league. At least actual footballing people seem to think he is.
For what he’s done in a below average side he should be in. The way he’s adapted to jumping up the leagues into professional football is a credit to him and is clearly blessed with good movement, eye for goal and pace.

He’s been consistently one of the best strikers at L2 level for as long as memory serves me. I’d happily have him in our team.
