Lee Bowyer to be confirmed as new Blues manager this morning
he has resigned from Charlton and expected to be confirmed this morning.

hes done well at Charlton who are just outside the L1+playoff places so do we think he is a good apointment and will they get the new manager bounce ?

Happy with that to be honest. He wasn’t great in the championship and I think he’s an ex Blues player. It’s tough at this end of the season with a new manager to turn things around.

Might be a good appointment. Change made far too late for Blues, though. If they stay up it will be because Rotherham's squad have been hit too hard with Cov-id/can't manage the backlog of games. If Blues don't get more than a point from the next 4 games, then I think they will go down. Rotherham v Blues may be crucial.

The Charlton fans seem to be split over him leaving. He was a club legend but regarding his management the majority didnt rate him

I think both Bowyer and Karanka had been looking for a way out of their clubs for a while
Charlton and Blues are basket cases with chaotic owners
Bowyer may be jumping out of the flying pan and into the fire

The only thing is that he can’t do any worse than Karanka. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a bounce, that dressing room will have been flat under Karanka. So not good for us, but it’s all still in our hands.

Tough fixtures, but you get strange results towards the end of the season, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they managed a win in one of those games ala our win against Brentford.
Yup and Reading can be a bit hit and miss.

I think they may well win one of those.

Agreed...as you say a time for strange results and I wouldn’t be surprised if they got a win and draw from those 4. But that is also the minimum they need. So anything less than that and I think their season over.
