Surely no mentally healthy person would commit a murder, but the population deserve to be protected from those who would. So you could argue that any murderer is mentally unfit and should be locked away for life.

Just been on the news. He'll do at least 28 years. He deserved that sentence for his crime. It said the bloke he stabbed had a rep for starting fights. I think it was because he followed him from carriage to carriage, and not leaving it at the start. Obviously he never deserved what happened and the attacker got what he deserved. Death wish maybe is a bit strong, but sometimes you just have to walk away and he had his son with him too.
