Fair challenge but we all have to make it work
It’s ok we’re too busy we haven’t got time to try and make it work sorryOf more concern is that, now it’s entrenched, how do you unpick it?

Also, whilst not directly related, going to post about the England ‘fans’ who broke into Wembley for the Euro 2020 final (I watched the documentary the other day).
Paraphrasing here, but:
“Why are you kicking off with them?”
“Because they won’t let us in”
“But you’re not allowed in”
“Yeah I know”
Regardless of race, ethnicity, political view, shoe size, people at large are of the opinion that they can do as they please and the world should bend over backwards for them.
Can'tOf more concern is that, now it’s entrenched, how do you unpick it?
That’s a district in LeedsPopping back in this thread after having my lunch...
That's a fucking good optician if you failed to see them before!I've just been to the opticians, returned to find my fence adorned with next doors rug's, not any more!
That’s where we all come in if we’re not too busy of courseThe issue as I see it is people move to where they feel safe initially, post migration. That's literally with people of like skin, culture or language. What happens then is the 'locals' who were there feel outraged that they've been taken over and almost forced out and that builds hatred and tension on both sides. It then becomes colonisation rather than integration and that's where the real problems start with no go areas for those on both sides of the divide.
I don't have an answer to it really, but perhaps forced integration is the only way it might work in new areas if it's not too late.
the seeking to engage has clearly not worked though pete in that scenarioThat’s where we all come in if we’re not too busy of course
We’ve had a mosque move into a residential building on our street parking is a ball ache and they are very inconsiderately loud around key celebrations. We’ve tried to challenge using a residential property as a mosque and recieved a firm but polite fuck off from the council so we’ve tried to challenge politely and point out where parking is dangerous and where noisy street discussions at midnight maybe need to stop
Other neighbours are just pissed off with them
We probably all have similar situations
We could inflame or seek to engage I prefer the latter
Depends doesn’t it there’s no control groupthe seeking to engage has clearly not worked though pete in that scenario
Depends doesn’t it there’s no control group
I haven’t torched the house
Let down cars tyres or had a fight yet
Although one of my neighbours is definitely a reform voter
This is me saying I should have done more not saying whether it worked or not
Maybe me doing more would have meant they were more or less considerate
Who could have seen this coming?
My Rob, what's happened where I'm finding you a sensitive, empathetic bloke? Has the country really gone so far right?!?The issue as I see it is people move to where they feel safe initially, post migration. That's literally with people of like skin, culture or language. They are at fault of course they are I’m not disputing itMaybe the people being inconsiderate are at fault? (Even though you have tried to cram a reform voter in there, must be his fault)
The latter is fine and definitely the way to go, but eventually after so many polite "fuck offs" some residents will inevitably take the other rout out of pure frustration. That’s where we all come in if we’re not too busy of course

We've been told all those things are just around the corner for over 20 years now but they're yet to happen. The latter is fine and definitely the way to go, but eventually after so many polite "fuck offs" some residents will inevitably take the other rout out of pure frustration.
It's inevitable unfortunately, and will only continue to get worse, with police no go areas, non white zones and/or sharia law areas etc.
To add to this we get the loonies who just want to shut down this debate and pretend it isnt happening, and accuse those who speak out of racism.
That's the state of Britain in 2024 and unfortunately I don't see it I.proving.
So should we wait till it does? We've been told all those things are just around the corner for over 20 years now but it's yet to happen.
I don't think you can always say its the parents. My mate has two kids, one was good as gold, the other was a fucking nightmare. Always in trouble, constant court appearances and his parents were tearing their hair out and had no clue what to.People who have feral kids because they can get away with anything they want.
Even in the videos yesterday, parents are encouraging kids to smash police cars. I wouldn't dare, even at 40 to do shit like that if my mum was about.
You see people going out and getting stabbed, drug dealing etc and their parents are kicking off with the police and saying their kids did nothing wrong.
They are feral.
But according to @fernandopartridge the police have an operational budget and should be able to deal with such things,Not sure about the 'if it was football fans' stuff. Football games are scheduled so that police from all around the area can be present in numbers, especially if games are classed as 'risk'. This is mainly covered by working overtime and the bill is footed by the home club.
The reality is that in a situation like this there simply isn't the numbers and there's not really the capacity to quickly bring people in from neighbouring forces.
Can't remember the figures but I someone a while back stated how many police were on duty in Cov on a Friday and Saturday night and it was shockingly low. Any real trouble and at best they're looking at trying to contain it and waiting for it to run its course.
Lived in France for a couple of years. If you are an immigrant in France, if you need an interpreter, you pay for it yourself. Here, typically the institution you are dealing with will provide one. To be a permanent resident you need to be able to show some proficiency in the language. It is very difficult to integrate if you don’t speak the language of the country you are living in.You would think housing, feeding, paying for kids, healthcare etc would be enough to get people to want to speak the language? They shouldn't be allowed to move here until they can speak English, surely?
Why didn't the bosnian refugee's parents teach the kids English before they went to school? People want everything handed to them and done for them.
This is also the same if people went to live abroad and didn't try and speak the Language.
Where exactly is the warning coming from?So should we wait till it does?
We were warned that Russia was going to invade Ukrain
We were warned that Argentina was going to invade the Falklands
We were warned that Hitler was going to invade Poland. Etc etc the list goes on.
The thing with warnings is, you need to act BEFORE it's too late.
All these things have always been available for the UK to do but it hasn’t bothered.Lived in France for a couple of years. Plenty of warnings out there, bloody loads!!!Where exactly is the warning coming from?
Have you had a drink at lunchtime?!?Plenty of warnings out there, bloody loads!!!
Mainly by people who the lefties want to cancel or shutdown or label racist.
Incidentally it was really weird hearing a couple Asian families in my close talking about their fears of mass immigration.
Racist right wing bastards!
Not yet, but if your offeringHave you had a drink at lunchtime?!?
People also kicking off in London over something happening in Bangladesh FFS.
Imagine rocking up in Bangladesh and smashing shit up over there.
So you’re unable to say who?Plenty of warnings out there, bloody loads!!!

So you’re unable to say who?
