Probably because Wasps have no claim over the AEHC at present as they do The Ricoh.
There will always be chance for another deal, that was proved by going to six fields and coming back - we have a deal at the Ricoh until 2018, we have been served noticed and only has one year left. Once the academy has gone and the infrastructure removed, thats not coming back. The academy is very important however the future of the club is also just as important

You're barking up thr wrong tree here.

A genuine question on legals (excuse my ignorance)
If we were under new ownership would that leave SISU free to continue the legals independently and the club free to rebuild relationships without those legals being used as a bargaining tool against it?
They arent going to drop legal action. Even if 2k people 100% agree. To me this is just another "look sisu wont drop legal action so its there fault wasps won't talk to them"I am not barking up the wrong tree I want the club to negotiate on a dual front with promise of ditching legal action if an agreement can be found just as important as each other.
If what the likes of some on here believe, I think even maybe you? Wasps don't want us and see us as competition so why do you suddenly now believe there will always be a deal to be had?
They are making statements like they do.
Would be nice as well if SIDU didn't think owning the club somehow helps with this litigation.
Maybe still having ownership of the club would impact somewhat of the anount of compensation you can apply for? I have no idea just a guess.

Its bollocks. And just deflecting from wasps and CSF shafting the academy.

Just looking at the poll - currently stands at 82.5% saying yes to Don's question, though only 27 people have voted.
There's 89 people who have read this thread. To use an election analogy, that’s only about a third of a turnout to vote.
Could I suggest that those viewing could please cast a vote? Lets get an idea where most people stand. If its a big swing in favour of one way or another way, this needs to be communicated to the interested parties. SBT is perhaps the busiest place where City fans actually get involved in discussions and the differing opinions are vast and diverse: who blames who, who said what...with the dissection of facts presented and examined as thoroughly as possible given the circumstances.
While a small percentage of the fan base, SBT is IMHO a definitive indicator of what the general feeling of the CCFC support. I believe if there is massive support for this poll, it needs to be communicated to SISU and reported by Les and Simon. Similarly, if there was massive support to boycott WASPs or put pressure on Higgs/WASPs to enable the City to keep the academy in situ, this also should be reported similarly.
The poll is a joke as it has no relevance.
It's like saying CCFC would own the Ricoh if Joy Seppalla ate a full English breakfast every day for a year.
Would you want her to or not?
Most sensible people on here are award that he cause and effect are not as portrayed on this poll.

It just might be a way forward.
If Wasps are not lying and they will only do a long term deal once the legal action comes to an end.
Then why doesn't the club say ok let's negotiate let's see if we can get an agreeable deal on both academy and Ricoh.
If we can then yes the legal action is on the table.
It maybe a way to get both back to the table and yes I imagine if everyone voted you would have 95% supporting this idea.
No for me.Grendel if Wasps put a contract on the table that was good for the club on both fronts academy and Ricoh.
However for it to happen we would need to drop all legal action.
Forget your attempts to side track with it wouldn't happen, it's not the issue, they would renege on it, SISU would renege on it. They have already laid down a take it or leave it offer.
Forget all of that just a straight forward yes or no would you sacrifice the legal action if it meant we got signed up long term to both academy and Ricoh
A simple yes or no please?

Surely the question is about if, what's and maybes, because its all around a hypothetical if wasps can offer us a good enough deal. Without wanting to repeat myself:Sorry, be honest with yourself Gren thats a poor comparison, you are better than that. The question isn't about if, whats and maybes, its a clear question based on the statements we have at hand from the mouths of the two CEOs involved.
If you want to talk about cause and effect, WASPs are quoting background noise as a barrier - and Don's question is quite valid and relevant: drop legal action in return for a suitable deal. Weather someone agrees or disagrees with the answer, the question is relevant.

Yes apparently people didn't understand my question and were not choosing legal action over securing the future of the club.
They were merely saying Wasps shouldn't be involved.
However they are and they are saying no deal can be concluded until the legal action has concluded.
So I am saying call their bluff, offer to get round the table for both academy and Ricoh. If a deal is reached agree to drop the legal action when we sign it.
We will see two things are Wasps bluffing and don't really want us.
Are SISU prepared to drop the legal action to save the club and academy
I don't get what the aim of the poll is trying to achieve other than shift any blame away from wasps and back onto sisu.

No for me.
We live in a democracy hundreds of thousand of lives have been lost fighting for it, so if SISU believe they have been wronged then they have the right to seek justice.
I don't know, there was one about litigation before that everybody pretty much agreed on.
It is trying to prove something though.
No for me.

And as tony said, if its a no fee no win type company sisu might not be able to stop it.

So great you get 100 posters 100% agreeing. Then what? Not trying to shift the blame
trying to get a solution

Sisu say no. Then what?
I know "sisu wouldn't/ couldn't drop the JR, they're being unreasonable, its their fault not Wasps"
Its not really about trying to find a solution, as there is only 1 option - drop the JR.
The vast majority want the legals to be dropped but the club shouldnt be used or bullied buy wasps to get at sisu.
Not trying to shift the blame

Yes they can say no if they want that's the democracy.
However this is like an out of court settlement where they choose this over the legal action.
It happens in democracy everyday.
Grendel if Wasps put a contract on the table that was good for the club on both fronts academy and Ricoh.

Out of court settlement with a third party - wasps wouldn't actually. E in that meeting would they?
Wasps
No you are playing into wasps hands by pretending that this is a chain of events that could happen and it isn't - it's no way forward.
Oddly hasn't caused a ripple on the wasps forum - whereas some ideas do.

Think you missed this Grendel?
They wikk say no because 1) they still think they can win and 2) they will not want to be bullied into it by wasps.SISU wouldn't say no if it's the best thing for the future of the club.
They have repeatedly said that they always make decisions with the best interests of the club put first.
Look at their recent rousing statement about the club.
Why do you think they would say no?
Hardly anyone thinks they have a chance of winning so really they will be putting Wasps on the spot and in an very awkward position if Wasps are but genuine in their line about the legal action
They wikk say no because 1) they still think they can win and 2) they will not want to be bullied into it by wasps.
Well done though, you're setting it up nicely to blame sisu for talks not going ahead.
