Was at the plumbing merchants on Swan Lane yesterday and saw this on display - not sure they are all legends but a few I couldn't put a name to.
On the bottom row between Breen & Sheffers is that Grry gillespie when he returned in 94.
On the bottom row on the end next to Sheffers - no idea
On the middle row between Willie Carr and Kevin Gallagher ?
On the top row between Wallace & Peake ?

Where is Oggy Dion Cyrille Hucks Robbie Keane Stuart Pearce

Swanage, Dorset
Conor Chaplin is in it somewhere, as per he was meant to be right up front but ended up dawdling behind the others.

They were going to include Yakubu too but they couldn't find an action shot, or movement of any kind.

In fairness they could have added Dave Buust. He's a bit of a Leg-end these days

Ok ok I'll stop now :muted::hilarious:

Seen that poster over the years and yes, some very strange choices of “legends”
Enter your own at will but the omission of Dublin on a legends poster and also a case for Dave Bennett maybe?

They were all, at one time or another, CCFC Player of the Year. Main omissions, bearing in mind the age of the poster (McSheffrey is the most recent in 2006), are Dublin and Ogrizovic.

Just off the top of my head. WTF are any of the following?

Dion Dublin? Peter Ndlovu? Paul Williams? Garry Thompson? Danny Thomas? Callum Wilson? Dave Bennett? Lloyd McGrath?

Hardly the most inclusive of items from the City that gave the world 2-Tone is it?

EDIT: Stupidly wrote Wallace instead of Thomas

What to you go for ability or length of service or both ? there’s no Robbie Keane only here a year and no Richard Shaw no way near the best but had a ten year career here, no George Curtis captain from fourth division to first and manager of the cup winners and no Oggy in fact no goalie at all. As the old adage goes its a game of opinions.

Bill Glazier was a goalkeeper - may even have been better than Oggy. Sad fact is, we haven't seen their like since Oggy retired

Mick Ferguson was not ever player of the year

That’s Terry Gibson, isn’t it?
Apologies - you're quite right. Ian Gibson was a great player but, as I said, these are the players voted as CCFC Player of the Year at the time.

All white. Sad, but true. Seems strange to omit Regis, Dion, McGrath, Bennett, Ndlovu and no doubt others.
Many white greats missing too. Pearce, Mortimer, Curtis and others.
Sorry if this turns into a racism thread. Maybe it is just a personal selection and least said, soonest mended.

Ian Gibson ( Gibbo ) One of the best midfield players to wear a Sky Blues shirt.

He had everything, he could make a pass, score a goal and get stuck in.

If he was playing in the game today you would need at least 70m to sign him.
