Without acknowledging the fans. That's any respect he had of mine gone.

To be fair if he had waved or clapped it would mean he was leaving too.

Never an excuse not to acknowledge fans though

So when you leave a company you work for do you go round shaking everyone's hand? No you just leave, as long as he plays as good has he has fair one. Story of being a cov fan. Feeder club for everyone.

Wasn't at the match but CWR said he made a special effort to go and acknowledge the fans at the beginning of the match. Didn't mention anything about the end of the match.

I wouldn't say he made a special effort before, unless it was before I got to my seat. When he was warming up in his normal fashion kicking balls into an empty net he responded to fans applause by clapping back, but that's usual

They said he applauded when he was warming up, then they reckon when they came back out for kick off he went over the the city fans to applaud them

Maybe it would have been better if he'd refused to play? He'd still be a hero...

Could be the last time we seem him in a Coventry shirt, he wasn't brilliant today but neither was anyone.

I couldn't give a shite if he clapped the fans or not.

Actually a superhero, because not only would he not be giving SISU any money, he'd be getting paid by them to protest against them.

He's got one over the rest of us, clever bugger.

Sorry but disagree I have had a 4 jobs in the last 5 years and have always left by shaking everyone's hand and to be fair have had 3 presentations from the work force.

Depends how you get on with your work colleagues.

Not worth crying about. Having said that I never understand why some players don't acknowledge the travelling supporters (unless they've been slated of course). It's such an easy thing to do, so just show some manners and do it.

It's a bit like when you let someone into a queue of traffic and they don't give you a thank you. It means absolutely nothing really, but it's still fucking annoying.

Get off his back - if he goes, he goes, if he doesn't, back him! Not in person though as we don't have a home ground currently obviously!

Might be a good player but as a human being the man is a snake

I tend to disagree. He walked onto the pitch with my daughter at the Sheff Utd match. He was great with her. Months later, whilst clearly awkward, at the JSB Christmas party, he not only remembered her, approached her to catch up with her, ask her what she was hoping for for Christmas and really took his time to talk with her.

I'm disappointed with the transfer request but he's in his late 20s, at the peak of his career in the form of his life. He has an outside chance of staying with us and playing at a higher level but his home town club, in a stronger position than us are in for him.

If I was playing for Wolves, they were just outside the playoffs, and City were looking strong promotion prospects - I'd do the same.

I'm gutted for my girl though - she adores him.

From what I heard on CWR Leon applauded and appreciated the support he got from the Sky Blue Army ahead of kick off, but he wasn't the only one to make his way off straight after the game.. At Barnsley he only raised his thumb up to the fans in acknowledgement...

So says the man full of 'excuses' for a certain financial company from Mayfair !

Good job you weren't in charge of ticket planning - you'd have only requested 2,000 - they are getting lynched for just asking for 5,000.

this is a ludicrous thread. None of the players clapped us significantly aside from Moussa. Clarke made a point of coming over to us at the beginning. Shut up and leave him alone. He had a poor game but so did almost everyone. (Blair Adams seems to have temporarily replaced his legs with spacehoppers - he had the touch of a rapist today)

In Clarke's defence, I've just seen the highlights and he throws both hands up in the air in celebration when Moussa's shot hits the net and runs off to celebrate with his team mates. He could have not celebrated if he doesnt care anymore
