Will say from the start that I have never been a great fan of the Board or SISU, it isnt based on blind prejudice but what I perceive as the errors in judgement they have made in the last 3 years and the "miscommunication" they have peddled in that time.
However the two interviews I have heard given to CWR and WM by Mr Brody have impressed me. They were clear calm and erudite. He made his points clearly and firmly without getting involved in name calling. He explained the whole King saga in terms of time line and highlighted the deficiencies in the King/Finnegan versions. Above all he fought the CCFC corner. Not sure I like all his twiitering because such things are open to misinterpretation but it is at least a link to our fans from the board, something few other clubs have. He doesnt fully understand the passion of the fans but is beginning to. He takes a lot of abuse and stick on twitter direct but still comes back to speak more.
Yes it is a lot of words but it is also action..... first time in a long time the Board have reached to the fans, tried to make us all feel involved and at the forefront of that is LB. Yes it could be a tool to manipulate fans etc but it works both ways. Assuming it is backed up with actions I am prepared to accept that risk. Not every one will see it that way but its my opinion
So personally I say well done LB for trying, for telling it how you think it is, and for fighting the CCFC corner when accused of making things up by a unprincipled mercenary and his unprofessional representative. There is a shift in the relationship between club and fans please make sure that it continues and is built upon - and yes that means actions not just words
