CCFC Finance Director
Will say from the start that I have never been a great fan of the Board or SISU, it isnt based on blind prejudice but what I perceive as the errors in judgement they have made in the last 3 years and the "miscommunication" they have peddled in that time.

However the two interviews I have heard given to CWR and WM by Mr Brody have impressed me. They were clear calm and erudite. He made his points clearly and firmly without getting involved in name calling. He explained the whole King saga in terms of time line and highlighted the deficiencies in the King/Finnegan versions. Above all he fought the CCFC corner. Not sure I like all his twiitering because such things are open to misinterpretation but it is at least a link to our fans from the board, something few other clubs have. He doesnt fully understand the passion of the fans but is beginning to. He takes a lot of abuse and stick on twitter direct but still comes back to speak more.

Yes it is a lot of words but it is also action..... first time in a long time the Board have reached to the fans, tried to make us all feel involved and at the forefront of that is LB. Yes it could be a tool to manipulate fans etc but it works both ways. Assuming it is backed up with actions I am prepared to accept that risk. Not every one will see it that way but its my opinion :D

So personally I say well done LB for trying, for telling it how you think it is, and for fighting the CCFC corner when accused of making things up by a unprincipled mercenary and his unprofessional representative. There is a shift in the relationship between club and fans please make sure that it continues and is built upon - and yes that means actions not just words

Completely agree OSB. I think some of the criticism he gets on Twitter is very harsh. He doesn't need to respond to people or tell us about things, but he does and I respect him for that. They are at least making an effort to bridge the gap between themselves and the fans.

Agree 100%

He didn't duck any questions and, amazingly, volunteered info which had not been asked for directly. Much better to listen to than Ranson, who always seemed to be reading from a press release.
Time will tell.
BTW where are Ranson and Hoffman, our Saviours, now? Same place as Joe Dhinsa?

Totally agree.

I'm surprised he's stayed on twitter as long as he has the amount of stick he gets. When the story of Marlon leaving broke he was up and tweeting supporters at 2am his time as he lives in Canada, I can't imagine any other director doing that.

Fair play to him I say. We'll give him time to see how he does over the next season but first impressions are good of him. In my opinion

I think we should all appreciate Mr B for coming forward and doing his bit, I think it's a bit unfair to say he does not understand the passion of the fans as I don't see anyone else coming forward from the club, which says to me he obviously does. Lets not forget he does not have to tweet or reply to anyone and he could hide behind closed doors, which he does not.

Didnt say he doesnt but that he doesnt fully understand it yet but he is learning quickly..... wasnt picking fault in saying that. Is how it is and to be expected from someone based in Canada. Fair play to him in my opinion

My favourite thing about that was the guy who tried giving him abuse for going to bed at '9am'.

Haha the funniest thing for me was despite him saying he was falling asleep and was totally knackered was the local radio presenters kept asking to phone him for an interview there and then he was like " guys I need to get some sleep " and he was still there half an hour later haha. He said something like " I can't because I'd sound like a half asleep old man " lol lol

do you think someone could post this thread to him on twitter? I'm sure it would mean a lot to him to see the fans do actually appretiate it and he might continue.

I would do it but twitter is about as clear as mud to me!

I'll let him know if you all think we should?

I don't know anything about Twitter, email is enough for me. But you have to give Mr Brody credit for being so public and using that medium to communicate with fans. This despite that I've heard he takes some horrible abuse and still maintains the link with fans. Can anyone who talks to him via Twitter and is set on giving him verbals think twice about it. This communication development makes me think back to the days when Jimmy Hill really communicated with the fans - in a time when not that many people even had a phone. Yes send the link and encourage him. He's actually going the extra yard (bit of an American expression I know) for the club. Fair play to him.

Done. Just said that there was a thread going on here about how we appreciate the work he is doing for the club. He's never going to satisfy everyone, but who does?!
For me, he is a doing a sound job and he comes across as a very approachable guy. Long may it continue.

I agree with TheSnoz, I think the criticism he gets is very harsh. He doesn't need to put himself out there or answer any of our questions, but he does, because he committed to keeping his word of improving the communication between the club and the fans. Fair play to you Leonard, keep up the good work.
People that are giving him grief need to take a second to think of the position he is in. We all know what Coventry City is like, he's certainly not got an easy job that's for sure.
Everyone needs to just have some patience and show him some respect. He will do what's best for the club.

So now that we are finally being sensible about Brody, maybe we are ready to accept the board as well?
And down the line we may even get to appreciate our owners ... SISU?

Whoa there Sally, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Brody is just about all I can handle from that board at the moment. The guy really does make a concerted effort to keep us aware of what's going on and as he said on CWR, to his knowledge he's the only football director that uses Twitter the way he does.

My gut feelings rarely let me down, so with a certain amount of confidence, I can say I like the guy and feel that I (we) can trust him, not that it means a guarantee of success for the Sky Blues, but that we will be told the truth warts and all, I think here is a man who Realises, that a truthful bond between fans and directors, doesn't cost a dime and is worth so-so much.
Blessed are the peace makers, James bond chapt 1

He's a PR man, a very slick one. That said, he gives as good as he gets on Twitter, he's not daft.

He's not the problem with this club, certainly.
