There will be some knob heads going into the ground who might say stuff to people boycotting. That's equally as wrong. If people get personal on here and start the silly name calling then I will also be saying there is no need etc and try to nip that in the bud. Disagreeing is completely different.

Creating the divide is putting the people in the position to join a protest or go in.

I made the tweet, and the subsequent explanation for why I used the term, and have deleted the tweet.

The reason I have deleted the tweet is that it undermines the collective action of fans and is needlessly divisive. If I had known it would cause such offence I would not have posted it. The more united we are, the more effective our protests will be.

So I reiterate my apologies on this forum too. I hope that fans support the protests as much as possible.

(I was also a scab - I went to Northampton once. So not only was I needlessly divisive, but also a hypocrite).

I doubt that more than a couple of hundred will bother to go up to the ground just to show they are boycotting, many may well boycott the game but will just stay away from the ground. I think a better option would be to suggest protesting for 10 mins outside and then go in, I think more people would attend the protest as they would be at the ground anyway.

I like Nick's suggestion of a scarf etc, get some with SISU OUT on, or a t-shirt with the names of people involved in our demise printed on, with boxes where you can allocate a % of blame to each party. Should be fairly cheap if done in bulk and raise some money for charity.

It'll never happen where everyone agrees 100%, but that's the case with almost everything. Disagreement can be healthy and respectful at the same time though, which is the preferable route.

Even just like the Man Utd ones, the green and yellow ones. Doesn't have to say a thing, then just donate profits to the Jimmy Hill Legacy Fund.

I think people need to respect each others decisions here and not give abuse to people who chose to attend. The abuse that city fans received off their own at Sixfields was awful and I hope this isn't replicated at the Ricoh.

Personally I would like to see a walk out in the ground on one game. This would have a strong affect and very visible.

I've no doubt that this latest protest suggestion will turn out to be a damp squib anyway. We all need to stand together and if you want to go and watch the game you should be allowed to without ridicule and that rule should apply to all no matter of decision the individual makes. This is about the the club having a chance to improve which we all agree on needs to happen, how we get there may be different, but getting there is more important then any name calling or bullying in any form.

No I agree with you, its up to the individual to make a decision, I like you want rid and want the best for my club. If those want to stand outside, stay at home or walk in the ground I'm sure we all want the same in the end.

That's why there should be a way to link people who do want to Boycott with the people who go in to show a bit of solidarity.

I mentioned things like Scarves at the time of Sixfields. It isn't going to change the world or get SISU out but if there was a charity scarf for example, and people are walking into the ground with them and people boycotting with them. There needs to be something that everybody agrees on, and it will never happen with a boycott so there needs to be ways to have people who do boycott, and people who don't to agree on something. That's why I suggested something to do with the legacy fund as judging by reactions on here, everybody agrees with that.

Thought at the time of Sixfields that the civic colours scarf idea was a good one. Why not go for it - didn't you get some prices Nick? Soz if already covered in the thread

I think many are plotting already what they see as the future of the club and when this day comes, no certainties can be given or money thrown as a key to success. What is a certainty is as we stand today without that potential the club as we know it is on a path of destruction.

We are dying Nick, really we are, fans are at the end of either trying to make change or losing hope of ever making a difference. What we can do is help then hope that someone is ready willing and able to grow a business, foundation and give us that hope to walk back to support the team we care about with our kids and the next generation of potential fans.

Fucking hell. There seems to be more people looking for division than their are causing it. This is how things get blown out of proportion and become assumed fact. Grow up the lot of you. You're all starting to sound like a group of infant school kids who are all blaming each other to the teacher.

there's not, and I think people need to be mindful of this, especially when there is potentially another hedge fund waiting in the wings.
However, I think it's imperative we get rid of sisu otherwise the club is going to die.
But yes, it may be a bit of a leap into the unknown, but surely it can't be worse than the death by a thousand cuts we're going through at the moment.
