Letter from SISU to the fans (1 Viewer)

Wow I wasn't expecting that and appreciate them trying to communicate directly rather than through that idiot Ken Duleiu. Still some noticeable jibes at Hoffman and Ranson.
"Unfortunately our distance has allowed others to promote their own disruptive cause, damaging the Club as a consequence. This has also undermined the good work done by the new management team to recover from past losses." Dig at Hoffman

"Those who were previously directly responsible for our football transfer policy left the Club in a difficult situation with 11 players out of contract in June leaving us to inherit a dangerously depleted squad of players." Dig at Ranson

I will see if they manage to draft anyone in the loan market before I get my pitch fork out.

What a load of crap. They release a letter the day after they sign our first outfield player since marlon and expect everyone to get back on side? Shove it sisu. It's so obvious they are shitting themselves ahead of the Derby game, they're Desparate for us not to cause a scene on live tv. Don't be fooled by a poxy letter. How many chances are the sisu lovers going to give them?

Definitely!! Smacks of an attempt to prevent protests on sky tv. Will it be enough, not sure but you can't deny that all the right things have been said in the letter!

Some people are unbeleivable. Nearly everything people asked for they have got and yet people still moan!! Mistakes have been acknowledged, a statement of where the club is at is there, hoped for loan players coming in, best players not sold, need i go on. The timing of the letter has nothing to do with 'being scared' its being done to tell people what they wanted to know and yet still it isnt good enough. Time for these so-called fans to get a grip and stop their constant whinging.

I would suggest you let people have their own opinions. Not everything has been done that was asked for.

quite obviously that letter was put out to have a dig at every other person that has had anything to do with ccfc rather than the bloody owners.
it really makes my blood boil that sisu are trying to blame others when they are the ones who have lied, stripped our team down to the bare bones and left us with not much hope of staying up.
yes they have dipped into our virtually empty pot to buy mcdonald but is that going to be enough....yeah his youtube video is very impressive but will he be able to do the same in the championship...only time will tell but obviously i'm hoping for our sake that he will prove to be a very good acquisition...but if he does turn out out to be a top striker how long before ken doolally flogs him off to anyone who makes a derogatory bid because that is one area that sisu need lessons in

Bit of hypocrisy there. Asking me to allow other opinions in response to one of my own! I agree opinions are free for everyone i dont have to accept or agree with them though.

after 3 years of lies you think one letter fixes that ? trust is earned not given straight away when they make true what there saying then i will belive it, should the protest happen ? i think they should but thats my opion you are intitled to yours fanta and i respect that. But im not going to applaud them yet we will see what happens we still have a paper thin squad with minor investment and no streams of income and after all the lies from the new board im inclined to belive them even less!! but time will tell.:D

Hypocrisy?! Look it up mate, I didn't say your opinion was wrong but you've tried to belittle others. Here you go: www.thesaurus.com

A working capital facility has been made available to the Club to support it through the final stage of the turnaround plan and major improvements and innovative ideas are expected in the coming months
1. We have borrowed money - for what? I assume the first stages of the turnaround plan were slash costs right to the point where we struggle to name a squad above kindergarden age - what the hell is the final part? This is what we want to know - what the hell is the plan?
2. Major improvements? Well things cannot get much worse on the pitch
3. Innovative ideas? A fans fund for transfers? Can't wait for that brilliant idea to be implemented.

Onye if you really want to start getting the fans on side sack those overpaid leechs Dulieu and Clouting, what have they achieved since they slimed into the board room? Get someone on the board who actually understands football and tell us what the plan for OUR club is. You have used lots of words to say jack shit - if you are in it for the long haul, as you claim, then surely there must be a plan and if there is let us in on it and you might get some more support.

He does say in the coming weeks he will communicate more in the coming weeks and outline a wider vision for the club.

Probably didn't want to overload too much info into one letter.

Unfortunately I am missing the Derby game (bloody mates wedding... how selfish!) However, I seriously hope that if this Derby protest is to go ahead it is done properly before the game, at halftime & at the end of the game. NOT when we have our players on the pitch!

The Watford game (although I understand the steward made it worse than it was) was a joke! Soon as that whistle goes, get behind the team! VERY annoying that you see people who never sing fuck all shouting SISU out at the top of their voices!

Think people need to chill the fuck out a little......

WE begged them not to sell Juke........ THEY didnt (THEY TURNED DOWN BIDS!!)
WE begged them not to sell Clingan ... THEY didnt (THEY TURNED DOWN BIDS)
WE begged them to sign a Striker...... THEY did. (A PLAYER WHO ALONGSIDE ALF HAS HAD HIS NAME MENTIONED ON HERE A NUMBER OF TIMES IN RECENT MONTHS)

They turned down bids for Clingan? From who? Where did you get this idea from? who has said they turned down bids for Clingan?

CT reporting that Leeds were interested but did not put in a bid! And how do you know we weren't going to sell Juke? Just because it didn't happen it doesn't necessarily mean that wasn't the intention. If there was a deal for Juke that fell through then it makes Sisu and the board all look very good this morning doesn't it with the "we held on to our top striker" routine.

Just don't know why everyone is second guessing everything. I have no idea what happened yesterday and neither do you.

Yes some people are unbelievable, especially those that tar fans who dont agree with your opinion, to be 'so-called fans' which is small minded at best and pathetic at worst.

In my humble opinion, they certainly havent done everything that was asked.
They have released a letter that says a lot but tells us nothing, they didnt bring in the two players our Chairman alleged he would try to do, meaning out thread bare squad is still thread bare.

Yes big wow they didnt get rid of our only remaining decent players, but I seem to recall we already lost three of our better ones before the season started, and with a better squad last year we only escaped relegation by the skin of our teeth.

So in my opinion they have done very little, as we still havent won a game, still have a poor squad, still have no strength in depth, still dont own our stadium, still tell the fans nothing... oh and still havent had the meeting with the council:facepalm:

They worked well enough for Hoffman to 'fool' lots of Cov fans into thinking he was the messiah when in essence he has turned out to be a white Dhinsa.

What the hell has that got to do with this letter?! It wasn't Hoffmans job to convince us of anything. You're right in that his words convinced many City fans but it's SISU's job to convince us that they're for the best, that they have the best interests of the club and the fans at heart. Actions, not words, are the way to do this. It's their job, not Hoffmans.

Otis, your absolutely right, it is all 2nd guessing.
All I do know is that the transfer window has shut and the only hit we have had is a defender (whilst when fit he could be the best in the league) who hasnt kicked a ball in a long ass time! Therefore as a fan of COVENTRY CITY FOOTBALL CLUB I am happy today.

I do believe that if "SISU the Destructor's" really wanted shot of Sammy & Juke....... They would have had no shortage of offers to do so! Did they not tell Leeds Sammy was not for sale?? Did they not say no to the Burnley & Middlesbrough bids for Juke??

Not entirely true, the transfer windows been open since the begining of June. In that time we've lost 11 players. Only one for money.

Other than the big 3 (which I personally think we had zero chance of keeping) who are you pissed off with loosing?

Correct, actions not words are the way to convince fans. This isn't a personal dig at you as I have no idea of your stance but more of a dig at anyone who blindly accepted anything Hoffman said and dismissed anything SISU said. Its only words, its only words that convinced so many that Hoffman was the saviour and he duly failed to deliver.

I think the response from the feller whose name sounds like a South African music group could hopefully prove to be the turning point, of course I won't hold my breath but at least its refreshing to see that they have admitted they make mistakes. I just feel that the majority of Anti-SISU people are quick enough to dismiss anything that comes out of theres and the CCFC boards mouth/typewriters but far too eager to accept everything Hoffman has said as fact. Blind faith?

Some of us need to realise we were never going to spend millions of £££ because we quite simply can't afford to. Any rich bored arabs we know? I fear that is the only way the club can meet 'some' fans expectations in the transfer market. We're still feeling the pain of relegation and the Richardson mis-management of the club. SISU have been idiots though for not spending a bulk of their early investment on the Arena. I think we all know where we would rather £1.2m would have gone towards between Eastwood and saving for the Ricoh.

Just to clarify I am not Pro-SISU or Anti-SISU, it doesn't have to be so black and white with situations like this. I do however feel let down by Hoffman as his "words" got mine (stupidly) and a lot of other peoples hopes up and in the end proved very little substance.

More importantly, I've been trying to wrack my brains as to who is actually "available" on loan. :thinking about:An attacking midfielder please.

What would of happened if they had sold them? season tickets holders the only ones to turn up to games, more protests? relegation the club is tearing itself apart at the moment this letter is out to try and ease the resentment of SISU by some of the fans, i think they are worried about the protests on tv, i have never know a chairman who is so dispised by so many cov fans for his blatant lies, this is the problem, 3 years of crap then its fixed in one letter ? i just dont see it myself. Did the offers come in we dont know has all the money that has been reaped in from sales and add ons been put back into the playing side? are the wages from all the players that left there for AT to strengthen ? i dont think so!! they give a little then take a larger amount a never ending downward spirral!!

We don't know do we.

Look, i am pretty much on the fence here. I am not totally opposed to Sisu or have been campaigning for their removal. I want to see that there is a viable alternative option in place first. I have been very unhappy with a lot of things happening at the club but certainly don't blame Sisu for all of them and do realise that we need to sell to keep going. I am not necessarily a Hoffman supporter either. I take each and every comment and siuation upon their own merits.

I do think if we had got the right offers in though for Clingan and Juke (with all the relevant replacement options in place) they would have gone.

I am a little confused about the Parkin thing though. Seems there was a lot of interest in Turner and yet we were going to plump for the Cardiff option with Parkin as part of the deal. But hang on here, AT has clearly said Cody McDonald was his number 1 target. So does this mean we were going to bring in TWO strikers? Or does that mean had we got Parkin, we would then have sold Juke to get McDonald!?? :thinking about:

That wasn't the point, I was just making it clear that the transfer winder hasn't just been open for the last month. Also, we had a tiny squad anyway, it would have been nice to have some more experience and back up in there.

Not entirely true, the transfer windows been open since the begining of June. In that time we've lost 11 players. Only one for money.
Westwood - Inevitable due to his ambition and refusal to sign for over a year and interest from bigger clubs than us
King - Inevitable due to his character and interest from bigger clubs than us
Gunnarsson - I thought we may have been able to keep him but at the time I wasn't too fussed (would love to see what compensation we got for him though)
McIndoe - Very happy we got him off the wage bill as he was reported to be on big wages
Turner - We got a fee for a player who in all honesty had only played well in 13 games in 2010-11 and was poor before that. Been out for injury for 10 months. Would've liked to got an extra £500k out of him but not the worse piece of business.
Osbourne - Always broken, rubbish anyway
O'Halloran - Wasn't good enough for this level.
Carsley - Too old, legs had evidently gone and wages were too high.
Quirke - Surplus to requirements

9 players, have I missed anyone?
