I enjoyed listening to this. I thought it was really insightful when he was talking about the Exeter play off final and how much he wanted to win, how he and the team were determined to dominate from the start and not give Exeter a chance. I felt he really conveyed well the mindset of a competitive sportsperson.
A few things not mentioned that I would have liked to hear about: his Scotland cap, the ball boy incident (I could understand why Liam wouldn't want to mention it, again shows his ultra competitive nature) and what it's like to be one half of 'that' song.
On the match thread yesterday, someone said what a poor game Kelly was having. It goes to show that football is a game of opinions because I thought he had a really good game. I think he has been an excellent footballer for us, at the levels we have played. I also would not write him off. He played half a season of Championship football for Bristol (something I didn't know) and I think he will be a key performer for us, with a very young team around him, next season. I like the way that Kelly is always available for a pass no matter how tight the situation and that 90% of the time he is able to get us out of those tight situations. What a great signing he has been.

Agreed, his speed of thought in tight spots is usually excellent and gets us out of some of those tricky situations you get when you play out from the back. Recycles play very well and generally just moves the ball on quickly to those who can use it more effectively in an attacking manner. Top player and I think him and McFadzean will be vital this season

I’ve now listened to 3 of these in the last 3 days. They are a great listen if you are out walking the dog.

Team unity is a very clear theme and something that Robins must preserve with the incoming players.

There are a few questions I’d like the guys to add to their list:

Does the gaffer ever talk to you about potential transfer targets if you have played with them in the past ? Ie Godden and Walker

Who do you think will be the next young player to break into the team ?

Why has it not worked out with Kastaneer ?

In all of the incoming transfer explanation there is very little reference to Mark Robins. Is it Badlan or Robins the players speak to before making their decision

Plenty on here show their cluelessness when it comes to their view of Kelly. Our most important player over the last 3 seasons

This was a really good and insightful listen, great work. Quite emotional listening to him reminisce about the play offs.
