Seems the scouting network consists of a few blokes making really high bids players. How the fuck did we get Vik and Gus for 2 million quid?
Seems the market was a bit different then , some silly fees being paid atm

Barnsley fans think we have paid a really good price form their perspective.

An awful lot of bitterness from the Barnsley end , we've had our pants pulled down and he's shite ..

Ah well .
We move and Liam will hopefully develop much further over the next 3/4 years

That interviewer must be the worst possible. Such generic boring questions delivered badly

Their forum is not really deflated and think it's a great deal for them.
Just as we thought the same about Gyokeres and Hamer. Pragmatically, we accepted we were likely to lose them and wanted to extract the most value for the pair.

I am not sure I remember a few being as pragmatic as that but I can see your logic as to why they are being realistic.

This is modern football fandom right here, isn't it? Everything polarised. It can be both, FFS! Good deal for them, good deal for us. Not always one or the other.

We get a 23 year old who's played 160+ games already, balances the back line (left footed) and captained the club he's leaving to a play off final last season.

Overall, it’s fair to say that the consensus on here is that we got good value for both Hamer and Gyokeres.

Two big losses for sure. From Kitching’s interview, we made contact with him shortly after Wembley. It’s clear he’s had his head turned, Barnsley fans feel that and with some bad performances, there’s probably resentment there.

With Gyokeres and Hamer, their commitment was never called into question so that’s certainly kept them in our good books.

Seemed to be a lot aimed at Robins for saying he’d spoken to prospective signings and complained about high asking prices. Which to be fair is not something I’m particularly keen on even if it is commonplace.

Random 2 on the peg and admin keeps posting without sating we're done. Anyone think there's another or I'm reading too much into it?

Naturally it suited both parties in the end that is why the deal was finalised. He fills a gap and provides extra options in midfield by allowing JL to be able to cover DCM without leaving us short at the back.
I don't doubt the player as I have faith in Robins but have scepticism on the price however can defiantly concede this summer prices seem to have inflated significantly across the game and maybe I was being overly optimistic we might find a bargain rather than paying top dollar for undoubted league 1 talent.
