Don't think this helps us re Walsh.
New manager will be keen to have a good look at his squad.
From the outside he will have seen that Walsh cleaned up with the Club (CCFC) awards too.
Just drags things out further... if there is anything to drag out....
Just looked at 3 pages of Bristol City forum suggesting replacements.
Paul Cook and Warnock seem most popular (along with Ainsworth), Eddie Howe mentioned too - not one mentions MR.
Warnock has just taken over at Middlesbrough.
Hasnt Warnock got a farm in Cornwall ? Brizzle would be a likely club to work at if he hasnt got any desires to put his feet up and drive the tractor each day.Only to end of season, I expect Bristol fans fancy him for next season
Chris Hughton is short priced favourite with Sky Bet
Hughton's record shows that he doesn't trust young players
If he gets the job Walsh is unlikely to get much of a look in
No ideaHaving just signed Hamer, would we be realistically be looking at Walsh even if he became available?
Might already have heard who they have lined up/been speaking to....Liam Walsh “liked” this on twitter. Wonder what this means he thought of Johnson!

Any replacement would be a complete retard to simply overlook Walsh.
He's going to be linked with most jobs in the championship nowRobins 8/1 (third favourtie) on SkyBet...
Interesting. Always thought they both came across as decent blokes so find this quite surprising.Think his dad is even less popular!

I am really not sure why there is any more conversation on Walsh, he isn't coming here. We've signed Hamer and we've got a number of other midfielders already
Question! did the extended signing of Walshy actually happen before Johnson got the Elbow? can anyone find a link where he has actually signed yet!Didn’t Johnson extend Walsh’s contract after seeing how well he did for us? Now that Johnson is gone and not knowing who they have lined up to take over, I’d like to think we could tempt Walsh to come back and place a reasonable bid with BC (regardless of the Hamer signing). Walsh knows how highly MR thinks of him and the setup over here. Just my 2 cents.
Best wishes to Bailey WrightQuestion! did the extended signing of Walshy actually happen before Johnson got the Elbow? can anyone find a link where he has actually signed yet!

I think they just triggered a clause for an automatic extension.
I have a feeling Walsh will be available for loan to a championship club for the first part of the season to see how he gets on at that level. Bristol City will be looking towards promotion and do have better players and will probably look to reshape parts of their team during the summer.
Could we see Kelly start to be phased out? hes 31 during the next season, Give Hamer a season to adjust to the speed of the Championship swapping with Kelly as and when and have the classy Walsh next to them.

Kelly is also a very good player.Yep. I think the succession plan for Kelly is well underway. Reckon he can get away with it next year if keep this formation as he's got someone next to him and lots of cover behind so any potential mobility issues are covered, but we get his experience. I think longer term they'd like to see Eccles in that role but whether he can step up is anyone's guess.
