I’d leave Walsh now, look for someone to play the Kelly role in bits this season and take over by the end. Or an experienced Championship player who can be a voice in the dressing room and step in for the inevitable games Kelly misses.

Agree there are going to be some bloody good players available this transfer window as much as I liked Walsh and what he brought to our team there will be others possibly more experienced too.
Not saying he isn't but we've got to be planning for the next few years as he's not getting younger, tends to pick up 1 or 2 injuries a year and has stepped up a few divisions from when we brought him in. Would be foolish to not be starting to look at who could take over.
