Wasnt barton like 20k?Well that's the beauty of change - when situations change actions can too. When was the last time we paid anything before Vincelot? Mowbray has control and can spend the money how he wishes.

I never saw anything that said we spent over 100k on him?Jodi Jones about two months ago
No it was undisclosed (obviously!) but widely rumoured to be £200kI never saw anything that said we spent over 100k on him?
No way. We rejected going for le fondre cause was too much at 250kCody McDonald rumoured(Ask Grendel for exact figures) 500k approx.

I remember at the time people refusing to accept it. It would be strange they turn down those bids to take ours (and the fact there were others trying to hijack the deal to get him)Given that D&R turned down a bid of 300K from Charlton, it would be a startlingly bad bit of business for them if they settled for much less than that. I have been told 200K rising to 300K, but I know some people will absolutely refuse to believe it.
Knowing Sisu it'll be Chuck .
Wouldn't know the difference if you put him in Vincelots shirt[/QWUOTE]
Wouldn't last 5 minutes in Hillfields

roughly what do you think we paid?I absolutely refuse to believe it !
For Jones?£175,000
'Too much' can just mean they don't think he is good value. A bit like Everton telling Man City £100m for Stones. I think they would get a 'Too much' back.No way. We rejected going for le fondre cause was too much at 250k
I don't know, but paying such a fee goes against everything they stand for, it makes no senceroughly what do you think we paid?
Because they believe he will be worth a couple of million in 18 months time.I don't know, but paying such a fee goes against everything they stand for, it makes no sence
at all, why Buck the trend for this one player.
For Jones?
Ok so why aren't they out there Hoovering up young players with prospects, whyBecause they believe he will be worth a couple of million in 18 months time.

is he different, I don't get it.
So the likes of Keiren Westwood, Scott Dann, Dan Fox, Aron Gunnarsson, Freddie Eastwood, David Bell, Carl Baker, Martin Cranie, Lukas Jukiweitz, Cody McDonald, Adam Barton, Remain Vincelot and Jodi Jones were all free transfers then?I don't know, but paying such a fee goes against everything they stand for, it makes no sence

Not disappointed more disbelief TBH, what's wrong with me mentally ?You seem almost disappointed that the club parted with a significant amount of cash for Jones. The mentality of some genuinely baffles me.

Your quite right it isn't a policy, I still find it hard to believe they paid aYes, but it isn't 'policy', we paid cash for both Vincelot and Jones last season. It's a lack of funds and nothing to do with a strategic policy of never paying a transfer fee.
Well Bawtry might know something then.at least this isn't another thread gone off topic....
Gills fan site reporting its Rotherham
Will find out tomorrow morning Would be surprised though as don't see him as a Championship playerWell Bawtry might know something then.
No I didn't know. You just said 'everything they stand for' meaning SISU.Yeah you forgot Sammy Clingon, but as you know I'm talking about the clubs current policy.
