What's the best way to get down to Luton if no-one in your group fancies driving?

Every train I've looked at involves about 15 changes and connections

Can anyone advise?

You could get a train to Milton Keynes and there is a bus which goes from there to Luton Station. Not sure how far away that leaves you from the ground!

I've used the national express coach to Luton before, it's only 90 mins from Cov and then just a couple of miles in a cab/bus to the centre of Luton. Not very glamorous but a cheap option.

Yeah I've looked at this - only £30 return so not bad at all.

How/where do I book the coach travel from MK? Or do you just hop on on the day?

Get the train to Euston. It’s 20-30 mins from St Pancras to Luton.

All depends where you live really .
If you live in Luton you could walk or get the bus
If you live in Aberdeen would be worth flying down.

From Luton central train station/bus station ground is 15 minute walk.
You don't really want to be at the Airport train station or bus station as a lot further from ground. If your bus drops you at Airport bus station do not get a taxi from there robbing bastards will cost you twenty quid for five minute journey.
If for whatever reason your bus drops you at airport. Walk out of the airport down the hill and ring a cab outside Ibis hotel.
01582 404040 is fair priced taxi firm, also they confirm booking via texts.
Regarding arriving at Milton Keynes train station and then getting bus to Luton, my view not ideal as MK train station a long way 15-20minutes from M1, then a further 30minutes at least to Luton. You would just be better off getting bus/coach Cov to Luton as would pobably be quicker and cheaper.
If you drive down in a car your looking at an hour. The earlier you get down the closer you will be able to park on the side streets near the ground.

Train from Nuneaton at 9.52am to Leicester, change for the train to Bedford and then again at Bedford for Luton. Arrives Luton at 11.53am.

Alternatively, get dropped off at Leicester station and Just the one change.

If we're talking 'funny' clearances, how about Andy Pearce's effort at QPR early '90's? I know we were at the other end of the ground and most (incl myself) had probs had a few pre match sherbets, but I honestly thought I was seeing things when that happened.

I vaguely remember watching it on MoTD when I was a child. Did he scuff it into his own net?

Just checked and we have just over 1000. Getting mine tomorrow!

I'm almost certain the 1032 allocation is the MAXIMUM based on reading some footballgroundguides. We won't get anymore behind the goal as they are Luton Sts. I don't think this will get to general sale with 6 per Season Ticket available. My mate bought this morning and it was seat number 950 (mustn't have started at 0 as an hour later was seat 1050)

Do they have a residents' scheme around the ground? Where would be ideal to park to get away relatively quickly?

Anyone else out there got a Luton connection? My Dad was a Hatters fan (went to their 1950's Cup Final) and I was born near Dunstable. We moved up here in '69 when he and a load of others had to relocate their car/ truck industry jobs from Luton and Dunstable to Coventry (Ryton, Stoke and Whitley IIRC). Think there might be a few Cov fans around here with Luton supporting family.

Loads of my dad's family moved over from Ireland and ended up in Hertfordshire (St Albans, Redbourne and Luton) around the early 60s. A few of them ended up supporting Luton. I've got a great uncle who supports them and who became insufferable while they were in the Championship.

1,000 will be the max I think. Kenilworth Road holds around 10,000 I think and their home crowds are around 7,000. Might even be a sell out

I know traffic wardens put out a lot of cones around the side streets of ground.
You have car park on the bottom of crawley road which is £2.40 for the day.
This is in between town centre and the ground, so if your early you can pop in town for a pint.
Free parking i would suggest try Bilton way and Finway idustrial estate off Dallow road. Then walk down Dallow road turning left onto Clifton road towards ground. This is a twenty minute walk from this area.
