Don't often (ever) say "must win", but this is a must win.

Hopefully JDS and Sheaf will be back in the 11. As for the keeper situation, I think we're between a rock and a hard place. Neither of our choices are great.

Tough game. Time to roll the sleeves up and put bodies on the line. Surely Collins time is up . Bobby Thomas needed for this one .Scruffiest 1-0 would be great

its not really a win, a win or draw (if boro win) and a draw will be enough on the last day (assuming Millwall dont take 2 wins)

Maybe not a *must*, but would certainly be helpful. Would probably lessen the last day nerves a little.

Disagree there, Torch. It's just a must not lose. A draw should suit us just fine.

Let's say Middlesbrough do somehow win their next game. If we draw, that would put us 1 point ahead of them with 1 game to play

We would then only need a draw there too to top Middlesbrough.

I am not too worried about Millwall. They have Swansea, who have won 5 games in a row, followed by Burnley away.

I think a draw would be great

Obviously a win though would be fabulous. I think a win is going to be a hard ask, but I certainly fancy our chances of a draw.

It isn’t really. If we draw the Boro game will mean we need not to lose, same probably if we win

Gonna sound like a broken record by the end of the week but we need to move to a back 3 here.

Mentioned it on another thread but Sheff U were getting dominated by Luton with a back 4, switched to a back 3 at half-time and won the game: Match report

Lampard will have them drilled this week I am sure, and he normally gets a response after a poor performance (Sunderland came a few days after Derby), but Luton is not a happy hunting ground, and can be a difficult place to play, especially as it will be rocking on Saturday.

They owe us a performance…… nothing but !
This is another game towards getting into the play offs , so as a professional group , if they can’t get motivated for games like these , you shouldn’t be playing the game !

Fair enough, Otis. As I replied to someone else, maybe not a *must* but would certainly make the last day a lot easier and less nervy. Also, we can't rely on what Bristol City or Middlesborough do, so I really think a win would put us in a far more comfortable position going into that last game.

I can't see us winning this
Tend to agree- our two recent wins look good on paper but home wins to West Brom clearly in some disaray and Sunderland with nothing to play for. Luton beat us and they will fancy themselves against west Brom on the final day. I think Derby will beat Hull through and probably beat Stoke on the last day. I think they both get out of it and Hull or Oxford go down

Think I agree on five at the back. They need the win. We need to play like the away team and hit them on the break. A draw is a fine result for us.

I'm confident we won't play as badly as yesterday.
We actually started off very well yesterday, but very quickly came to realise that Plymouth were so well organised, we weren't going to be breaking them down any time soon.

It all crumbled from the first breakaway of Plymouth's.

After that we just seemed to lose heart and became very jittery and error ridden.

It was odd yesterday. I was pretty confident before we kicked off, but we soon lost our way and I was worried they would score with every attack. I'm only usually like that with the bigger teams like the top three.

Those around me were pretty angry and taking it out on the players. As soon as news spread that Sheffield Wednesday had taken the lead, then it was almost like a party atmosphere. Weird.

The Plymouth fans were giving us shit at the end and I think the party atmosphere was a way of us getting back at them. Everyone was pissed off really, with a totally inept performance

Hoping EMC and Thomas are back. Sheaf and Dasilva need to come back in also and Collins needs dropping. Feel like this is a loss and we'll need to beat Boro last day.

Don’t think we will see thomas, boro was target i believe. Neither EMC, and not sure he’s needed for Luton.

we have to match them up 532 I think, get partner up along side Simms and go direct.

Hopefully Frank can pull an old school Jose Mourino defensive masterclass and pull 3points out of the bag , 5 at the back is a must in my opinion

We're in a unique position where our destiny is completely in our own hands, with a win at home to Middlesborough almost certainly confirming a play-off place even if we lose on Saturday. We've also been excellent at home since Lampard took over.

That being said, a result on Saturday would take so much pressure off. The team has a habit of putting a performance in after playing poorly, hopefully they show a bit of mental strength and desire to win. Wilson really needs to replace Collins, if for no other reason that we would get hammered in the play-offs with Collins anyway, so may as well try and get Wilson up to speed now before we get to that point.

I'd go to a 3 for this as well as the away leg of the semi should we make it (unless we're already behind from the home leg).

Wilson (surely to god)
Lati, Kitching, Binks (if still no Thomas)
MVE, Sheaf, Grimes, Rudoni, Dasilva
Wright, Simms/BTA/Bassette (pick one out of a hat and hope for the best)
