He doesn't have strong hands at all, so a lot of shots hit almost right at him, go straight through him, unfortunately.
I think his hands are ok, it's more his feet that seem to be the problem. He gets beaten with shots low and hard and rather than try to block with his feet, he tries to get a hand down to it.

The goal Dovin conceded on the opening day to Stoke was similar to Plymouth's first two.

This might be controversial, but I don't think Collins did a lot wrong against Plymouth.

I mean you can tell his confidence is so fragile by the way he reacted to the goals, but he was massively exposed for the 2nd and 3rd goals. And the first was a precision finish in the only place he could score.

If he's fit, he'll play against Luton and I suspect with the rest of the team that started v WBA.
1st goal, ill give him that on balance, a lot more went wrong before goal, however his body just crumbles when watching it.

2nd goal - he gets nut megged, its shocking, he should save that.

3rd goal - not brave, turns his body, if he remains square and brave 90% sure he saves that.

Genuinely feel any shot could go in. Hes a poor GK, positionally, feet, shot stopping palms everything back into danger.

I feel for him as he will play saturday. Little we can do, but he's so bad.

We're a much better side with Sheaf in, one of the players we have prepared to take the ball in a tight position and a more progressive passer. The former attribute is needed against any team sitting relatively deep to draw them out.

It’s a good balance between him and Grimes. Sheaf acts as a pivot higher up the pitch and Grimes does a similar thing in a deeper position.

Lampard was on the money when he called out the lack of imagination in the final third. Too often Rudoni, MVE, Sakamoto, Wright or Paterson wouldn’t take on a player, take a shot or put the ball the box. It was often too safe and tickled the edge of the box without actually causing them issues.

On the long train journey back from Plymouth, the common theme they highlighted was our lack of chance creation.

No average or better Championship keeper is conceding that 2nd goal, in fact I'd have saved that and I'm 49 and stopped playing in goal for the Black Dog in Weymouth in 1995.

It's a dilema.
Field same attacking formation and play like we did v Plymouth/Pompey we get stuffed.
Play on front front like we did v Hull as Luton are vulnerable at the back, we should be OK.
They will go for our jugular Saturday from the off, but can we defend and hit on break? I'm not sure.
I think Frank will try and attack as that's our style and he wants to stick with this for next season if still in Championship.

Having been at Southampton last season when he did a weird slap at the ball rather than just catch it which cost us a goal and Pompey this season, I'm certainly not going to die on a hill defending him, just feel some poster's vitriol has gone too far.

Kitching probably attempted as many crosses as Sakamoto

Sakamoto’s individual performance was indictative of the team as whole when you compare the WBA and Plymouth games.

At WBA, he impacted the game massively and on Monday was anonymous. I can’t recall him taking anyone on or crossing the ball.

Whichever league we’re in next season, we need at least one winger who can consistently trouble teams and hit 10:5 goals and assists in a season.

I think Wilson starts. Collins will have an ‘injury’.

Lampard isn’t messing around. He more than anyone knows the opportunity we have - a genuine chance of competing in the play offs with teams in poor form and getting to the premier league. Can’t be playing in that sort of pressured environment with Collins in goal - simple as.

Don’t fancy this at all. A point won’t be a disaster and I’ll take it now. Carlton Morris always bullies us and leads us a merry dance.

I'm okay with this one now, we'll see a reaction to Saturday and they won't low block us as that isn't their style.

I certainly think we can get a draw at least

People have to wipe Plymouth out of their minds.

We were tactically out-thought that day and shut out of the game. It was a one-off.

I think it will be different on Saturday
We’ve shown that we can bounce back from those kind of performances. I reckon we’ll win 2-0.

Decided not to watch the game on Saturday… going to take the daughter to NTU for a uni open day in Nottingham. I think I might be bringing them bad luck when I watch them on TV. Let’s see if this works!!!

Think we’ll be up for this one, first time I’ve seen Lampard like that in an interview after a loss, we haven’t had 2 shockers on the bounce, and we owe these bastards. 3-1 Cov

I'm half tempted to go to the box midfield.

Wilson
Lati -Binks Kitching
MVE Sheaf - Grimes Dasilva
Rudoni Pato
Wright

Or you go 2 up top with Simms. I really don't see the benefit of 4 at the back away home, we keep conceding 2+ goals. Grimes ends up playing as a third centre back anyway, so why not just play a third centre back and allow Grimes to operate higher with the rest of the midfield.

Luton have been fantastic this season. We need to be so scared to play them, just check that table out.

Get rid of Collins and bring Wilson back. If Thomas is ready then put him in the team, but it looks like he won't be back until the final game.

I'd choose Wilson, van Ewijk, Binks (assuming Thomas isn't ready to come back) Latibeaudiere, Kitching, Dasilva, Sheaf, Sakamoto, Rudoni, Wright, and Simms

Wilson, MVE, Thomas (if fit, if not Binks), Lati, Kitching, JDS, Sheaf, Grimes, Rudoni, Wright and Simms
