You don't believe there is adequate information (or rather a lack of it) to discount supernatural beliefs?
Hmmm, now at the risk of doing 'told you so' they're really not...
OK, I didn't pick moving the club away, but I did pick the confrontation with other parties, the desire to play games of brinkmanship and the desire to play fast and loose.I could direct you to some excellent books on the subjectWhat I certainly got wrong is I thought we wouldn't exist by now. There's still time for that to come true, alas...
As for what people thought a while back then it is indeed good if people can be flexible enough to change. Unfortunately some show a repeated desire to accept 110% some new emperor's clothes from new sources.
Time and time and time again.
Meanwhile, there are some who overcompensate through their embarrassment at calling those who were against SISU morons, and turn into pure nutters. Once again, the absolute certainty they're right and the unstoppable juggernaught with no pause for thought causes more harm than good.
Then you get the likes of Italia and RFC...
Especially from people who never make a positive prediction, just say things are shit all the time then point to the times they are as proof of some great fortunetelling ability.
So that'll be every time it's to do with CCFC then.
There is every possibility we would have received less for Wilson had we retained him.
Yeah basically, there's a few who for as long as I've been posting online (and that's coming up for 20 years now, damn I feel old) have had the position of "it'll be shit", then jump around with glee when it is. I'm not sure being positive and optimistic is something you want to beat out of your fellow fans. I'd rather go into each season hoping for success and be wrong than live a life of misery just so I can post "told you so" every now and again. Maybe that's just me.
Maybe SISU should offer a Sky Blue Bond?
Be able to keep Maddison, give Joy a few Bob, Bond holders get a nice bit of interest, everybody's happy.
I'm not sure that even 100% interest is enough to make investing in this bond a reasonable idea. There are no assets, the club already pretty much insolvent the only reason we haven't gone bust is that the investors took seemingly worthless shares instead of insisting on their money back, bond holders wouldn't do that. I personally thought the wasps bond was too risky for only 6.5% interest but the bond you are jokingly suggesting would be an order of magnitude worse at least. No right minded investor would touch it with a bargepole.

I also find the "But what about this post you made" response the last resort of someone who has lost the argument. Along with "something something something Council/Sisu lover"
Maybe SISU could let us have a share each and then send someone to our door and ask for it back.
There's every possibility that we wouldn't have been in a relegation battle with Wilson as well.
I'd even argue we'd have been pushing for a playoff place if not automatic promotion. Sometimes one player can make the difference simply because they lift everyone around them. Reds is an example of this, unfortunately he missed half the season.
Not a chance.
But as we've already established in this thread you're an idiot when it comes to the abilities of Wilson and your misguided opinion that it was a good bit of business. So you were never going to say anything else in reply to my post.

Maybe but we only got 61 points the season before with Wilson playing in what was a better team than this season
He was a better player this season in a far far harder league than he was last season. Offcourse some of that is down to him playing as part of a good outfit but it's also down to him maturing well as a player. I don't doubt for a minute he would have tore through midfield's in league one last season and made his own goals. This would not have only taken pressure of our own midfield forcing them to play better it might have given FN the kick up the arse he needed to give it his all. We also wouldn't have had the dross we got from Bournemouth and might have actually been forced to make some decent signings in the closed season.
It was IMO a false profit to let Wilson go for what we got in return for him and I would say the same if Madison went this season. A successful full season (which he seems more than capable of delivering) will surely not only raise his profile but also his price. Even if we took him straight back on loan it would still be a false profit because we'd still had a season out of him but probably ultimately less money from his transfer. I doubt we'd get him for a second seasons loan either if he's looked the class act most expect him to look because his club would send him to a championship club to advance his game the following season.
False profit written all over it.
Do you think it was it a False Profit Tony?
False prophet I think. Tony "no stats" is struggling. He and Italia are destined to be the Waldorf and Stadler of the forum.
Oh hold on Waldorf is someone else - or couple of people else.
