Just randomly collapsed and had to come off.

Leicester manager saying that Maddison felt unwell, so they took him off as a precaution. Looked worse than it was apparently, but a few fans were worried when the physio checked his pulse.
Hopefully all is well.

No matter the opinion surely this needs to be looked at, it seems to be happening more than in previous years. So whats causing it? maybe an independent review should take a look at and find the truth if possible.

The FA doctor says no connection to jabs, certain individuals connected to the game have come out with a different view. So I personally think it's a fair question to now ask and one the FA should care about for the sake of all concerned.

Any outcome would be welcomed, any truth found would be very helpful. If its not jab related, not covid related and just random incidents then fine. The most important thing is whatever the reason, if we need to find a prevention, then we have a starting point to resolve moving forward. If it saves a family from watching a family member suffer on TV or in front of them, I'm all for it.

This topic will divide for sure and I'm sure people will jump on my post, I truly don't care. For me the most important thing about this is to let the facts fall wherever they fall and solutions found if needed.

Here’s some facts mate: Fact Check-FIFA unaware of rise in players having cardiac arrests on football pitches and such incidents not flagged as being linked to COVID-19 vaccines

What actually costs lives is people spreading bollocks about life saving vaccines under the guise of “just want the facts” when the facts are not and have never been on their side. Leave the diagnosing to House yeah?

But have you done your own research though?

Yeah he managed to walk off the pitch so wasn't stretchered off or anything.

It just looked bad that he seemed a bit daze and couldn't sit up and then the physio was checking his pulse and breathing.

To be fair maybe he just wanted a rest.

Could be excessive use of caffeine/permitted stimulants? This is an interesting article on the prevalence of caffeine in elite sports.

Regardless of the cause, hope he's OK and makes a full recovery.

Can't believe this has never been made more of an issue in elite sports. There's been quite a few studies now highlighting the dangers.

When I got involved in coaching Youth football, first thing we did is ban them outright. It was scary the amount of 13/14 year olds rocking up to training or games with a couple of cans of Red Bull/Monster etc.

Don't think its anything to do with them playing sport. We have a few 16 - 18 year old apprentices at work and the common thing seems to be staying up to the early hours on the playstation / xbox and then knocking back 4 or 5 cans a day at work to stay awake.

No, you're absolutely right about the culture but I wasn't able to police that.

As per the posts above there have been numerous scientific studies outlining the dangers of excess caffeine combined with sports, athletic performance, even gym/exercise. I believe excess caffeine is even banned by WADA now - partly due to health concerns.

They already did look at it and although there is a increase risk of myocarditis and pericarditis after vaccine there is more chance getting it from COVID it's self, I mean a few a these players collapsing ain't even vaccinated like the lad at wigan, then there's the likes of Alphonso Davies getting checks everyweek because it what Bayern do and coincidentally thez find he has myocarditis after he recovered from COVID.

I'm not trying to be funny but who is they in regards to this study. If it's an independent body with no vested interest then the findings will be helpful. I'm not saying what you remarked has no foundation I think you could be correct in a lot of what you are saying. But I truly don't trust Fifa, Fa or Wada to be truthful or honest and let's face it all of those don't have the greatest of records and being straight. If it's an independent body I'm fine with any outcome as in the end any findings will help educate us all and stop any misinformation being touted about.

Papertalk of Maddison being sold circa 50 million in the summer, have we still got our dicks in the honey pot?

if i was running a football club, and my manager came to me saying he wanted to sign Maddison in access of £50M+, i would sack him on the spot. thats laughable.
