Looking at his attributes. What he brings us and has done.
1) he offers experience.
2) he's a reasonable size.
3) he can link and hold up play.
4) scored a penalty.
5) played well away at Colchester.
Any advances in this, positives only tho we gonna support him in the next 90 mins.

I hope that Fortune plays really well and that our fans are supportive of him.

Clearly to date he has not applied his trying ground attributes on match days.

Face facts . He doesn't score goals. Never looks like scoring goals and his hold up play is non existent.
So why do people think he's the answer to our problems.

No one has said he is the answer only said he was our best player last night.
As for holding up play should have seen his quick one touch passed yesterday.

Realistically anyone thinking he was brought in to get 10+ goals are in a world of there own. At this stage of his career he's just gonna use his size and experience to link up play in the attacking 3rd nothing more. We're not gonna see him beat 3 men and chip the keeper, tho if he feels like doing it.... Saturday could be a good day to do so.

I've not had the problem with him others have seemingly had.

Yep, he had a couple of poor games, but then after that, every time he came on to the pitch as sub people had already decided he was going to be crap in advance.

Back in the JH days when leading-scorer George Hudson was having a slight scoring drought, JH signed George Kirby, a bustling centre-forward, very good in the air. He played alongside Hudson up front and promptly scored a hat-trick on his debut. That's the kind of help we need for Armstrong, not Fortune or Henderson.

JH had the money available to buy George Kirby, no free transfer. Kirby scored 10 goals in 18 appearances and left at the end of the 1964 promotion season - job done.
