Yeah, although i'd say still 10K didn't bother as lots of blue dots where ST's normally are.
Noticed this too, suspect it’s the shit scheduling of the game. I know the fixture list is mad these days but still think all latter stage FA cup games should be at peak times of the week. Monday night is shit.

It will be people not rushing to get them. Besides a quid saving, most will still wait.

Away fans general sale starts tomorrow. Just been announced it will still be two tickets per person, so guessing initial sales went well.

Maybe but cannot sell in ones really for friends or family sitting together, especially if child isn’t previously registered

Block 15 is gonna have to suffer my bullsh*t for this one. Hoping Ellis gets a hat trick then barely celebrates, just to see people get pissy about it.
That would be ace

Does look like a bigger crowd

Couple of good results and will be huge

Greetings from a Maidstone fan. After season ticket holders and executive boxes had their share, we sold the remainder of 4500 Ipswich tickets in less than two hours with hundreds turned away. I know of some who missed that game who are planning to travel, but many will be put off due to being a school night. Very much looking forward to visiting Coventry; one of about a dozen clubs I’ve not visited. Not expecting to win, but do hope our players put on a good performance. Whatever the result, they will get the standing ovation they so richly deserve.
I think you’ll see a standing ovation from both sets of fans.

Welcome to Coventry 👍

You will forgive me for wanting the Sky Blues to win - as you and your fellow Maidstone supporters will rightly want your team to triumph - but I hope it's a good game played in the right spirit.

After the Ipswich match, we will be very nervous if we are not at least three up going into the last twenty minutes!

Yes. Ipswich should have been out of sight in the first 15. After that we settled better and, well you know the rest.

I expect us to bring a decent support, made up mostly of regulars and semi-regulars plus a few hundred glory boys. I expect us to lose (but then I did at Ipswich). I'll enjoy it and then trundle off to watch us play Dover. Its nice having a cup run like this but I wouldn't want all ticket games every week, all-seater stadiums and the general restrictions that come with higher league football. I don't like the segregation we have to endure now and as for not swapping ends and watching where your team are attacking...honestly!

I went to my first non-league game about 2-3 weeks ago and I found it bizarre the home and away fans swapped ends!

Maidenhead is my (new) local team since I moved there.

Maidenhead is, I think, the longest running ground in continual use as a football ground.

The changing ends thing happens less at the Gallagher now, due to segregation. Some home fans will still do it although tbh, the last two I've been to, it's taken me until ht to realise the away team are kicking towards me 🤣🤣

Apparently, we've sold 1900 so far and they go on general sale tomorrow, so bubbling along nicely.

Keep buying the tickets chaps. We have a new pitch to buy🤣
It's plastic surely it doesn't need replacing yet. Played there a couple of years ago in a charity match. Great community facility.

Not everyone likes them, but the pitch is a real community asset, played on by hundreds of local kids after we lost a generation of fans in exile. It is seven years old now, and if not threadbare, definitely past its best. Being honest, this cup run came at just the right moment. With relegation last season, and a lot of the stuff done cheaply on the new ground wearing out, Maidstone were on course for the first major financial loss since coming home. That is all covered now, with maybe a few new treats for the ground and an easing of budget restrictions for George Elokobi?

Hope they open the doors early rather than make them wait, and prevent others from queueing only to be told they’re gone.

I remember those days of queuing hours for tickets. Spent 9 hours on a Sunday once trying to get cup tickets for Everton away. Yesterday, I put my book down, logged in and within 5 mins had selected, paid for and received tickets.

TBF, we don't usually have to bother putting down a book to ensure entrance to a game. My best advice when watching us is to take the book with you 🤣🤣

Great advert for the FA Cup if this is a 30,000 attendance on a Monday night, especially when televised.

There's absolutely no way on Earth Sheffield Wednesday would have had 30,000 if they went through.

taken from there forum:
Kent police claiming over 700 queuing and having asked the club to start selling immediately.
