I like the twist that the bloke's relative is actually in the police!

Have you seen the video?

Genuine question - what possible further context is there that could justify the stamp to the head after the boot to the face?

I’m sure the prick deserved it, but that doesn’t mean it’s okay for an officer of the law to stamp on someone’s head when they are already completely incapacitated.

I can’t think of anything in the world that could have just happened that makes that okay

I agree with most of this, although I think that it's most likely the case that this copper has seen a whole world of shit just happen, and absolutely lost it. By the letter of the law he is in hot water, but like you say, the prick almost certainly deserved it. I am not cool with this current victim move and sobbing hostage style videos coming out either. Some of the media campaigns and protests also bizarre.

Cba to read all of this but I'll put in my two penny'worth.

People seem to forget that the plod don't discriminate. They will easily to do this to you and yours.

Also, you cannot prosecute and charge a dead person.

Never forget Port Vale away we were walking to our coach, there was a commotion and a copper tear gassed one of us. Was literally wrong place wrong time.

I'm not going to be throwing haymakers at police women.

I don't doubt there will be some wronguns in the force just dishing it out for no reason but I am pretty safe in that whenever I have had dealings with them I haven't been a prick.

I have had problems with the police before when I have done absolutely nothing wrong at all. Zero.

Was at that game, my mate was about 5 foot from our coach and got pepper sprayed in the face

That's great and all but I tried weed a couple of times when I was a teenager and not touched anything else since.

Is that the extent of your argument? Get back out to find a protest you can jump on to get some houlier than thou points.
If it's not drugs then you do need help.

It is pretty weird how you react when someone says it's not okay to stamp on anyone's head.

Politics has nothing to do with common decency.

I'm fine. You might want to worry about all of the plights you fight for as you forget things.

I really hope the guys that violently attacked the police are also prosecuted. It wouldn't be a very good look if they just bowed to the mob, and it certainly doesn't set a good example.
I think the protests etc do play a massive part in the outcome.

Yes they do and predictably the complaint is racial discrimination on the part of the police. As far as I can see there's absolutely zero indication that race played a part.

Got to get that compo

Ironically, the picture of them with the lawyer. None of them have a mark on them. Just a happy lawyer who's going to take a cut.

Wonder how the coppers that were assaulted are looking?

I've had a couple of bad experiences with the police when I havent been prick. Ended up getting a house visit and an apology from the head honchos on one occasion.
Also got a slap of one when I was acting the arse so I've no problem with that one.

Were these years ago?

I'm guessing I might be looking at it from a younger generation point of view.

Yeah, the one we got the apology for was the most recent and that was 20 odd years ago.
But I've seen some real cuntish behaviour from them over the years.

To ge fair, I've seen them having to deal with a fair bit as well.

Needed them twice in my life and they let me down badly both times, but still wouldn't be without them and I have faith in the majority to do the right thing.
